Hello everyone!! Special greetings to all anime lovers too!! I hope that you're all doing great.
Let me share with you a review of this heartwarming and gentle animated film from Studio Ghibli, "Kiki's Delivery Service".
The story follows Kiki, a thirteen-year-old witch, who leaves home to start her journey of independence and self-discovery. It has been a tradition in their family to start being independent at such age.
She moved and settled in a seaside town together with her talking cat, Jiji.
She initially received cold responses from the residents, but later, she was fortunate enough to be embraced by a kindhearted pregnant woman named Osono, who owns a bakeshop and offered her place in the attic for Kiki and Jiji to stay.
As a witch in training, she had to discover things for herself and learn how to deal with them. Later, Kiki decided to start a delivery service using her broomstick, with the support of Osono.
It's truly inspiring to see Kiki's journey and how she overcomes the ups and downs, managing to survive living alone and away from her family at such a young age.
The movie is warm and fuzzy and is a typical family film. (Well, I watched it with my daughter @tegoshei for the second time.) The film has a simple but meaningful message about perseverance and self-belief.
The soundtrack is so nice and uplifting. The supporting characters, such as Osono, Tombo, her artist friend from the forest named Ursula, and the two grannies, were also great, which adds to the charm of Kiki's journey. Even Jiji, her talking cat, and his love interest bring humor and warmth to the story.
For me, this film is interesting and highly recommendable. It's relatable and has deep themes. Discovering that the path of maturity isn't that simple and easy. Knowing that in this big, wide world, there are still kindhearted and supportive people.
So, I would like to invite you to watch this film, and I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy this one.
I'll end my post here and see you around. Thank you so much for reading, and God bless... ๐๐๐
