Hello movie lovers, and everyone on Hive!! Have a blissful night or day to all of you!!
My daughter @tegoshei usually recommends to me some of the movies or TV series she watched if she thinks I might like them, too. One of the movies she recommended to me recently was "Miracle in Cell No. 7". She said she already watched it a long time ago and it is really beautiful, and that is why she wants me to watch it too.
I watched it all alone because she was working at that time. The story is really great, but it honestly breaks my heart too.
Miracle in Cell No. 7 is a story about a mentally impaired father named Ryu Seung-Ryong (portrayed by Yong Goo) who was falsely accused of a crime and sent to prison. He has a young daughter that he loves so much, and he always wanted to give her a Sailor Moon backpack because she loves it, and it was her dream bag.
Her 6-year-old daughter's name is Ye-Seung, a very smart, adorable, affectionate, and talented girl portrayed by Kal So-Won, and portrayed by one of the famous Korean actresses, "Park Shin-Hye" when she became an adult.
This movie is a timeless masterpiece of hope, redemption, and forgiveness, and more importantly, unconditional love.
This is a heartbreaking story showcasing a pure and unconditional love from a mentally ill father for his young, innocent, and loving daughter.
I couldn't stop or hold back my tears when I watched this film. It was an absolutely tear-jerking, realistic story.
Well, there are some funny moments too, especially when his cellmates helped him to see his daughter. It was really a roller coaster of emotions watching this part.
All the cast leads and supports really did an amazing portrayal in each role that can really move you to different emotions.
The scenes that really moved me to tears were the father's and daughter's reunion with the help of his inmates. She innocently manages to sneak into the prison's cell just to see his father, with the help and support of some inmates, which is truly touching. The scene from the hot air balloon, which somehow gives them hope and freedom, was also excellent.
In addition, the scene of the father's final execution, despite his innocence, he sacrifices himself in telling the truth to protect and save his daughter. There’s also the scene when his father finally went out and was transferred for the final execution. It was genuinely heartbreaking, which could make your tears overflow and become unstoppable.
And lastly, the scene when the daughter became an adult and continued to fight for justice for her beloved father. It isn’t easy to choose a single scene as a lot of them really moved me.
I honestly watched this with a heavy heart but full of admiration; the father's unwavering love, the daughter's determination to clear his father's name, the support from the inmates, the head of the jail, and the jail guard.
However, I hate the injustice portrayed in the movie as well. Sadly, things like these also happen in real life.
It gives us lots of valuable lessons too, so I am inviting you to watch this film. It's absolutely worth watching, but be sure to have some tissues with you, just in case.
It's really a beautiful film with a fantastic heartwarming story.
I hope you'll give it a try. I'll end it here and thank you so much for stopping by and for reading my post.
God bless... 😊🙏❤
