Greetings!! Hello anime lovers, I hope you're all doing great.
I was happy to rewatch this film for the second time, "Weathering With You". I've watched it a long time ago, I think it might be more than two years ago. That's why I already forgot some of the scenes, but I wasn't disappointed as I watched it again because it was so good.
Yes, this is not a Hayao Miyazaki film from "Studio Ghibli" that I was hooked on, but this is from another talented filmmaker, "Makoto Shinkai", who also directed "Your Name", "Garden of Words", and more. This is produced by CoMix Wave Films.
Weathering with You tells the story of two teenagers, Hodaka and Hina. It was set during a period of exceptionally rainy weather. A high-school boy, Hodaka Morishima, runs away from his troubled rural home to Tokyo and befriends Hina, an orphan girl who can manipulate the weather as she possesses the power to control the weather.
This is an absolutely breathtaking film. The story shows different sides of adolescence, exploring who they want to be, where they want to be, and who will be with them in chasing their fate and destiny.
For Hodaka, Hina, and Nagi, their happiness relies on each other through their efforts in overcoming adversity. Their care and affection for each other make them much stronger to fight and conquer all the hardships bound for them. The bonding of these three is more unconquerable than any real family could be.
Hodaka finds support from Keisuke Suga and Natsumi Suga, too. And I can't forget the scene where Natsumi helps Hodaka and offers him a ride on her bike to escape the authorities who chase him. That was a breathtaking ride!!
It was mesmerizing to see how Hina calms the rain and replaces it with beautiful sunshine.
This film has a truly marvelous story to behold, with a unique lore and heart-wrenching scenes. It has a great soundtrack, magnificent devices, and visually stunning visuals that make Weathering with You more fantastic and realistic. This is another masterpiece from the anime world.
And before I forget the surprising appearance of the two characters from Your Name, Taki Tachibana and Mitsuha Miyamizu, their appearance in a cameo makes it more exciting and nostalgic, bringing back memories of these two beloved protagonists in Your Name.
I'd definitely recommend this film to you all, especially for those who haven't watched it yet. This is undoubtedly a great film that carries good and positive messages about friendship, family, and the importance of finding happiness amidst difficult circumstances.
I'll just end it here, and I hope you will watch it. Thank you so much for visiting my post and God bless ๐๐๐
