A Quick Giude on How To Bridge HIVE From/To Ethereum, Base and Binance Smart Chain!
Thanks to the [new bridge](https://tribaldex.com/bridge) available on Tribaldex, it’s now possible to transfer HIVE — *not SWAP.HIVE, but actual HIVE, the layer 1 token* — to some EVM chains, such as Ethereum, Base, and Binance Smart Chain.
In [this post](https://peakd.com/hive-146620/@arc7icwolf/engita-hive-is-now-available-on-ethereum-base-and-binance-smart-chain-gpz) I shared how excited I was about this new feature, and even though the Hive-Engine team is still fine-tuning some aspects, I decided I didn’t want to wait and immediately tested the bridge — especially considering the great trust I have in this team and the full confidence that my funds, even if a transaction were to get stuck, are always safe.
In this short guide, I’ll show you the steps to transfer HIVE to another chain, and vice versa.
I’ll try to be as concise as possible — also to show how simple the whole process really is!
## Transferring HIVE to another chain First, go to the [bridge section](https://tribaldex.com/bridge) on Tribaldex. Here, depending on which and how many EVM wallets you have installed in your browser, a prompt will appear asking which one you want to use to connect to Tribaldex. Select the EVM wallet where you want to transfer your funds. Now, in the section below, you’ll see the wallet you selected, as well as a few dropdown menus that let you choose: 1. the chain where you want to send HIVE — in the example below, I chose Ethereum; 2. whether you want to send or receive HIVE: if you want to **send it**, choose **HIVE (Hive)**, as in the example below; 3. the amount of HIVE to send.  Once this is done, the bridge will show how many HIVE you’ll receive on the destination chain, minus the fees: in my example, sending 1000 HIVE from Hive will result in 997 HIVE on Ethereum. At this point, just click “Bridge,” approve the transaction with Hive Keychain... ... and you’re done! The transfer will then proceed automatically, first collecting some data...  ... and then showing you the transaction status.  If you don’t want to stay on this page, you can view ongoing and completed transactions by going to the [Transfers](https://tribaldex.com/bridge/transfers) section of the bridge:  Once the transfer is complete, the status will change from “pending” to “completed.” If instead you see “fail,” don’t panic: still check if the funds have arrived, because it might just be a visual glitch — it happened to me once.
## Transferring HIVE from another chain Now let’s look at the reverse process: let’s say you’ve purchased HIVE on one of the supported DEXs — such as Pancakeswap — and now want to move it to the Hive chain. The process is almost identical to the one above! Go to the [bridge section](https://tribaldex.com/bridge) on Tribaldex and choose which of your EVM wallets to use, if you haven’t already. Then, in the section below, select: 1. the chain you’re sending HIVE from — in the example below, I chose Binance Smart Chain; 2. whether you want to send or receive HIVE: if you want to **receive it**, choose **HIVE (Binance Smart Chain)**, as in the example below; 3. the amount of HIVE to send.  In the “HIVE (Hive)” field, you’ll see how many HIVE you’ll receive, minus the fee. Click “Bridge” to continue, and you’ll encounter one extra step where you must allow the Hive-Engine smart contract to spend your HIVE on the source chain (in my example, the Binance Smart Chain):  This step is **mandatory** and **normal** — we’re not used to it on Hive, but that’s how it works on other chains. You can choose to authorize spending exactly the amount of HIVE you’re transferring — click “Approve” — or to authorize unlimited spending — click “Approve Max.” The second option is considered less secure, but it saves you from having to reauthorize future transactions: you approve it once and that’s it. Personally, I prefer to approve only the specific amount I’m transferring each time. Once that’s done, click “Bridge” again, approve the transaction in your EVM wallet... ... and you’re done! A short data collection phase will follow, and then you’ll see the transaction status screen:  When the status changes from “pending” to “completed,” your HIVE will be available in your Hive Wallet!
## Easy, fast, convenient Even though there are still a few aspects the team is working on, the bridge works: I’ve already transferred HIVE to another chain and back a couple of times. Be aware, though, that wait times can vary at this early stage. So if you want to make sure everything runs smoothly — and take full advantage of how convenient this bridge is — I recommend waiting a few more days until things fully stabilize. Even as it stands, though, we already have an incredibly handy tool in our hands — very easy to use and allowing us to move HIVE wherever we need it the most!

Una Veloce Giuda su Come Trasferire HIVE Da/A Ethereum, Base e Binance Smart Chain!
Grazie al [nuovo bridge](https://tribaldex.com/bridge) disponibile su Tribaldex è adesso possibile trasferire HIVE - *non SWAP.HIVE, ma proprio HIVE, il token layer 1* - su alcune chains EVM, come Ethereum, Base e Binance Smart Chain.
In [questo post](https://peakd.com/hive-146620/@arc7icwolf/engita-hive-is-now-available-on-ethereum-base-and-binance-smart-chain-gpz) vi ho detto quanto fossi entusiasta di questa novità e, anche se in questo momento il team di Hive-Engine sta ancora limando alcuni aspetti, ho deciso che non volevo aspettare ed ho subito messo alla prova il bridge - vista anche l'estrema fiducia che ho in questo team e la piena consapevolezza che i miei fondi, anche ove una transazione rimanga bloccata, sono sempre al sicuro.
In questa breve guida voglio perciò mostrarvi quali sono i passaggi da seguire per trasferire HIVE su un'altra chain, e viceversa.
Cercherò di essere il più sintetico possibile, anche a riprova di quanto l'intero procedimento sia in realtà molto semplice!
## Trasferire HIVE su un'altra chain Per prima cosa dovrete recarvi su Tribaldex nella sezione dedicata al [bridge](https://tribaldex.com/bridge). Qui, a seconda di quali e quanti wallet EVM avete installati nel vostro browsers, vi si aprirà un prompt che vi chiederà quale utilizzare quando vi connettete a Tribaldex. Selezionate il wallet EVM su cui volete trasferire i vostri fondi. Adesso, nella sezione sottostante vedrete il wallet che avete selezionato, nonchè una serie di menù a tendina che vi consentiranno di scegliere: 1) la chain su cui inviare HIVE - nell'esempio sottostante io ho scelto Ethereum; 2) se volete inviare HIVE o riceverlo: se volete **inviarlo** dovete scegliere **HIVE (Hive)**, come nell'esempio sottostante; 3) la quantità di HIVE da inviare.  Fatto questo il bridge vi mostrerà quanti HIVE riceverete sulla chain di destinazione, al netto della commissione: nel mio esempio potete vedere che inviando 1000 HIVE da Hive riceverò 997 HIVE su Ethereum. A questo punto vi basta premere su "Bridge", approvare la transazione con Hive Keychain... ... ed avete già finito! A questo punto il trasferimento procede autonomamente, raccogliendo inizialmente una serie di dati...  ... e mostrandovi poi lo stato della transazione.  Se non volete restare su questa pagina potete trovare le transazioni in corso e quelle effettuate andando nella sezione [Transfers](https://tribaldex.com/bridge/transfers) del bridge:  Una volta che il trasferimento sarà completato lo status passerà da "pending" a "completed". In caso invece compaia "fail" non disperate: controllate comunque se i fondi sono arrivati a destinazione, perchè potrebbe trattarsi semplicemente di un bug grafico - mi è successo.
## Trasferire HIVE da un'altra chain Ora vediamo invece il procedimento inverso: mettiamo che avete acquistato HIVE su uno dei dex supportati - come Pancakeswap - e volete adesso spostarlo sulla chain Hive. Il procedimento è praticamente identico a sopra! Andate quindi su Tribaldex nella sezione dedicata al [bridge](https://tribaldex.com/bridge) e scegliete quale tra i vostri wallet EVM volete utilizzare, se non lo avete già fatto. Nella sezione sottostante selezionate poi: 1) la chain da cui inviare HIVE - nell'esempio sottostante io ho scelto Binance Smart Chain; 2) se volete inviare HIVE o riceverlo: se volete **riceverlo** dovete scegliere **HIVE (Binance Smart Chain)**, come nell'esempio sottostante; 3) la quantità di HIVE da inviare.  Nel campo HIVE (Hive) potete vedere quanti HIVE riceverete al netto della commissione. Premete "Bridge" per procedere e vi troverete di fronte ad un piccolo passaggio ulteriore, in cui dovrete consentire allo smart contract di Hive-Engine di spendere i vostri HIVE sulla chain di partenza (nel mio esempio, la Binanca Smart Chain):  Questo passaggio è **obbligatorio** e **normale**: su Hive non ci siamo abituati, ma sulle altre chain funziona così. Potete scegliere se autorizzare la spesa esattamente degli HIVE che volete trasferire - cliccate allora su "Approve" - oppure se autorizzare la spesa di un numero illimitato di HIVE - cliccate allora su "Approve Max". La seconda opzione è considerata meno sicura, ma vi evita in futuro di dover ogni volta riapprovare la possibilità di spesa: in pratica così lo fate una volta e poi mai più. Personalmente preferisco invece approvare ogni volta solo il trasferimento degli HIVE che mi interessano. Fatto questo cliccate nuovamente su "Bridge", approvate la transazione nel vostro wallet EVM... ... ed avete finito! Seguiranno una breve fase di raccolta dati e poi la schermata che vi mostra lo stato della transazione:  Quando lo status passerà da "pending" a "completed" i vostri HIVE saranno disponibili nel vostro Hive Wallet!
## Facile, veloce, conveniente Anche se ancora ci sono alcuni aspetti su cui il team sta lavorando, il bridge funziona: ho già trasferito un paio di volte HIVE su un'altra chain e viceversa. Attenzione però che i tempi di attesa possono variare, in questa prima fare. Se volete perciò essere sicuri che tutto funzioni al meglio, potendo così sfruttare la fantastica convenienza di questo bridge, vi consiglio di aspettare ancora qualche giorno, in modo che la situazione si sia stabilizzata. Già così abbiamo però fra le mani uno strumento comodissimo, molto facile da usare e che consente di spostare HIVE facilmente dove più ci fa comodo!
