Buying SPS & DEC Through a Decentralized Exchange (DEX)
The availability of SPS and DEC on [multiple chains](https://peakd.com/hive-146620/@arc7icwolf/engita-on-which-chains-is-sps-available) makes it possible, and easier, to purchase these two tokens through decentralized systems, without necessarily having to go through an exchange or other centralized platforms.
Being able to operate freely in a decentralized way is one of the advantages offered by cryptocurrencies, but it requires a bit more attention — in case of mistakes, it’s very difficult, if not impossible, to fix them — as well as familiarity with different platforms and wallets.
Excluding Ethereum, which has the least liquidity available for SPS and DEC, these two tokens can be purchased respectively on:
* Hive-Engine, Binance Smart Chain, and Base (SPS)
* Hive-Engine and Binance Smart Chain (DEC)
## Hive-Engine As for **Hive-Engine**, the pools are accessible through different interfaces, such as: * [BeeSwap](https://beeswap.dcity.io/swap?input=SWAP.HIVE&output=SPS) * [TribalDex](https://tribaldex.com/swap?from=SWAP.HIVE&to=SPS) * [Hive-Engine](https://hive-engine.com/) To log in to these interfaces, it’s always best to use **Hive Keychain**, the most popular and widely used wallet on Hive. These same interfaces can also be used to move funds between Hive and Hive-Engine and — in the case of TribalDex and Hive-Engine — to transfer funds to or from another chain. Executing a transaction only consumes **resource credits**, but keep in mind that each swap is subject to a liquidity fee, usually 0.25%, which serves to incentivize those who provide liquidity to the pool: this is a common practice across all DEX, though the percentage may vary.
## BSC, Base, and Ethereum If we move away from Hive (or rather, Hive-Engine), the Binance Smart Chain and Base are definitely the two best alternatives, as both have pools with hundreds of thousands of dollars in liquidity, ensuring swaps with low slippage and price impact, even for larger transactions. To quickly and easily identify where a swap can be made on these chains, we can use the official Splinterlands website; on [this page](https://splinterlands.com/dashboard/pools) you can view all available pools on BSC, Base, and Ethereum, which I highlighted in different colors for convenience in the screenshot below:  **Blue** corresponds to **Base**. **Yellow** corresponds to **BSC**. **Gray** corresponds to **Ethereum**. Clicking the "**swap**" button redirects you to different DEXs, such as **Aerodrome** (Base), **PancakeSwap** (BSC), and **UniSwap** (Ethereum). These are **well-known** and **reliable** DEXs that can be connected to using an EVM-compatible wallet like MetaMask or TrustWallet (just to name two of the most popular ones). Here too, performing a swap involves paying a liquidity fee. Unlike Hive-Engine, and Hive in general, you also need to pay a gas fee each time you interact with one of these blockchains: on average, a swap involves paying two gas fees — one to approve the token to be spent and another to execute the transfer and complete the swap. With the exception of Ethereum, which tends to be the most expensive option, BSC and Base require very low gas fees: typically between \$0.05 and \$0.01 for the Binance Smart Chain, and less than \$0.01 for Base. **Important**: to pay gas fees, you must have BNB (for BSC) and ETH (for Ethereum and Base) available on these chains, otherwise, you won’t be able to perform any transaction.
## Which one to choose? Aside from Ethereum (more expensive and with low liquidity), the other options are equivalent and allow you to purchase SPS and DEC safely and quickly, without the need to use centralized platforms. So far, I’ve always only used Hive-Engine, both because transactions are free and because it’s easier to move SPS and DEC into Splinterlands from Hive-Engine. The other options, however, require paying a small fee of 0.2%, which is used to support the bridge provider, the **SPS DAO**.

Comprare SPS & DEC Attraverso un Exchange Decentralizzato (DEX)
La disponibilità di SPS e DEC su [più chains](https://peakd.com/hive-146620/@arc7icwolf/engita-on-which-chains-is-sps-available) rende possibile, e più semplice, acquistare questi due token attraverso sistemi decentralizzati, senza necessità di dover per forza passare attraverso un exchange o altre piattaforme centralizzate.
Poter operare liberamente in maniera decentralizzata è uno dei vantaggi offerti dalle criptovalute, ma richiede un minimo di attenzioni in più - in caso di errori infatti è molto difficile, se non impossibile, porvi rimedio - nonchè di dimestichezza con piattaforme e wallets diversi.
Escludendo Ethereum, che è la chain con meno liquidità disponibile per SPS e DEC, questi due token possono essere acquistati, rispettivamente, su:
- Hive-Engine, Binance Smart Chain e Base (SPS)
- Hive-Engine e Binance Smart Chain (DEC)
## Hive-Engine Per quanto riguarda **Hive-Engine**, le pools sono accessibili attraverso diverse interfacce, come: - [BeeSwap](https://beeswap.dcity.io/swap?input=SWAP.HIVE&output=SPS) - [TribalDex](https://tribaldex.com/swap?from=SWAP.HIVE&to=SPS) - [Hive-Engine](https://hive-engine.com/) Per loggarsi su queste interfacce conviene sempre usare **Hive Keychain**, il wallet in assoluto più diffuso ed utilizzato su Hive. Queste stesse interfacce possono anche essere utilizzate per spostare fondi tra Hive ed Hive-Engine, nonchè - nel caso di TribalDex ed Hive-Engine - per trasferire fondi da o verso un'altra chain. Compiere un'operazione consuma solo **resource credits**, ma attenzione che ogni swap è soggetto ad una liquidity fee, che solitamente è pari allo 0.25% e serve ad incentivare coloro che forniscono liquidità alla pool: si tratta di una pratica comune a tutti i DEX, anche se l'importo può variare.
## BSC, Base ed Ethereum Se ci spostiamo da Hive (o, meglio, da Hive-Engine), la Binance Smart Chain e Base sono sicuramente le due migliori alternative, dato che su entrambe è possibile trovare pool con liquidità per centinaia di migliaia di dollari, che assicurano swap con basso slippage e price impact anche in caso di operazioni con importi più elevati. Per identificare velocemente e facilmente dove sia possibile effettuare uno swap su queste chain, possiamo rivolgerci al sito ufficiale di Splinterlands; a [questa pagina](https://splinterlands.com/dashboard/pools) è infatti possibile visualizzare tutte le pool disponibile su BSC, Base ed Ethereum che, per comodità, ho evidenziato in colori diversi nello screenshot qua sotto:  L'**azzurro** corrisponde a **Base**. Il **giallo** alla **BSC**. Il **grigio** ad **Ethereum**. Cliccando sul tasto "**swap**" si viene reindirizzati su diversi DEX, come **Aerodrome** (Base), **PancakeSwap** (BSC) ed **UniSwap** (Ethereum). Si tratta di DEX **noti** ed **affidabili** a cui è possibile connettersi con un wallet EVM compatibile, come MetaMask o TrustWallet (per citarne due dei più famosi). Anche in questo caso effettuare uno swap comporta il pagamento di una liquidity fee. Diversamente da Hive-Engine, e da Hive in generale, occorre anche pagare una gas fee ogni volta che si interagisce con una di queste blockchain: di media uno swap comporta il pagamento di due gas fee, una per approvare la possibilità di spendere un token e l'altra per effettuare il trasferimento e completare lo swap. Con l'eccezione di Ethereum, che tende ad essere l'opzione più costosa, la BSC e Base richiedono il pagamento di gas fee molto basse: mediamente tra gli 0.05 e 0.01 dollari per la Binance Smart Chain ed inferiori a 0.01 dollari per Base. **Attenzione**: per pagare le gas fee occorre avere a disposizione BNB (per la BSC) e ETH (per Ethereum e Base) su queste chains, altrimenti non sarete in grado di effettuare alcuna operazione.
## Quale scegliere? A parte Ethereum (più costosa e con poca liquidità), le altre opzioni sono fra loro equivalenti e consentono di acquistare SPS e DEC in maniera sicura e veloce, senza necessità di passare per piattaforme centralizzate. Ad oggi io ho sempre e solo utilizzato Hive-Engine, sia perchè le transazioni sono gratuite, sia perchè da Hive-Engine è poi più semplice spostare SPS e DEC all'interno di Splinterlands. Le altre opzioni richiedono invece il pagamento di una piccola commissione, pari allo 0.2%, che viene utilizzata per supportare il fornitore del bridge, ossia l'**SPS DAO**.
