After about **two and a half years**, my journey on Golem Overlord has **officially** come to an end. I had [already been considering this decision for a while](https://peakd.com/hive-146620/@arc7icwolf/engita-golem-overlord-a-journey-that-is-coming-to-an-end-fxj): without new updates, with the player base shrinking more and more, and the token values constantly dropping, I no longer had any real incentive to keep playing. It’s true, Golem Overlord has never taken much of my time — just a few minutes in the morning and again in the evening — so it wouldn’t be a big effort to keep playing and withdraw small earnings, but… I really appreciated this game, and that’s not how I want to remember it. My Hive account is now big enough that I don’t really need a few extra HIVE each month, so since I no longer feel the desire to keep playing GO, I think it’s better — and more respectful — to stop here, without turning it into just a faucet for tiny gains. So, for now, I’m putting an **end** to my journey in this game: I invested all my PART into upgrading my stats and withdrew the SHARD and ANIMA tokens I still had set aside.  I ended up burning almost 2,000,000 PART tokens and got almost at Prestige level 31. On the earnings side, I reached and surpassed **500 HIVE**, as confirmed by the script I created several months ago:

Earned 387.52 SWAP.HIVE from market sales (234.24 SWAP.HIVE) and swaps (153.29 SWAP.HIVE)
Earned 10.25 from SHARD sold through the market
Earned 104.31 from ANIMA sold through the market
Earned 502.08 SWAP.HIVE in total

There are still plenty of items in my account: Golems, Equipment, and other NFTs. I haven’t yet decided whether to keep them, hoping that one day the game might receive support and updates again, or to sell everything to earn a few more dozen HIVE. Maybe I’ll just keep them, even if only as a memory: sure, they’ll probably be a few dozen “wasted” HIVE, since it’s unlikely the game will recover, but given the earnings I’ve made, I think I can give up 20/30/40 HIVE without making it a tragedy. Perhaps in a couple of months I’ll change my mind and sell everything — who knows — but for now, I feel like leaving things as they are and keeping a door open to return to the game someday. For now, though, my journey **ends here**: Golem Overlord was the last Hive game I was still playing, and as of today, I officially stop being a Hive Gamer. I remain just an investor, since I still hold assets in Splinterlands, WOO, Holozing, and, for now, Golem Overlord. A change of course that will definitely influence my future posts here on Hive, which will obviously be less focused on Hive Games. After all, in life, you often need to evolve and adapt, and **where one journey ends, another often begins!**

Dopo circa **due anni e mezzo**, il mio viaggio su Golem Overlord è **ufficialmente** arrivato al termine. Era [già da un po' che stavo valutando questa decisione](https://peakd.com/hive-146620/@arc7icwolf/engita-golem-overlord-a-journey-that-is-coming-to-an-end-fxj): senza nuovi aggiornamenti, con la playerbase ridotta sempre più all'osso ed il valore dei token in costante diminuzione, ormai non avevo più grossi incentivi per continuare a giocare. E' vero, Golem Overlord mi ha sempre richiesto poco tempo, giusto qualche minuto al mattino ed altrettanti la sera, non sarebbe perciò un grande sforzo continuare a giocare e prelevare piccoli guadagni, ma... ho davvero apprezzato questo gioco e non è così che voglio ricordarlo. Il mio account su Hive ormai è abbastanza grande da poter fare a meno di qualche HIVE in più al mese, per cui, dato che non sento più il desiderio di continuare a giocare a GO, penso sia meglio, e più rispettoso, fermarmi qua, senza trasformarlo soltanto in una faucet da cui trarre minuscoli guadagni. Quindi per ora metto la parola **fine** al mio viaggio su questo gioco: ho investito tutti i miei PART nel potenziamento delle mie statistiche ed effettuato il prelievo dei token SHARD e ANIMA che ancora avevo da parte.  Sono arrivato a bruciare quasi 2.000.000 di token PART ed ad un soffio dal livello di Prestigio 31. Lato guadagni, invece, ho raggiunto e superato i **500 HIVE**, come confermato dallo script che avevo creato diversi mesi fa:

Nel mio account ci sono ancora tanti oggetti: Golem, Equipaggiamenti ed altri NFT. Non ho ancora deciso se conservarli, nella speranza che un giorno il gioco possa ricevere nuovamente supporto ed aggiornamenti, oppure vendere tutto, così da guadagnare qualche altra decina di HIVE. Forse li terrò da parte, anche solo come ricordo: è vero, probabilmente saranno alcune decine di HIVE "sprecati", perchè difficilmente il gioco si risolleverà, ma a fronte dei guadagni che ho realizzato credo di poter rinunciare a 20/30/40 HIVE senza farne una tragedia. Magari tra un paio di mesi cambierò idea e venderò tutto, chissà, ma per ora mi sento di voler lasciare tutto com'è e tenermi uno spiraglio aperto per poter tornare a giocare. Per ora, però, il mio viaggio **finisce qui**: Golem Overlord è l'ultimo Hive Game a cui stavo ancora giocando e con oggi, perciò, cesso ufficialmente di essere un Hive Gamer. Rimango solo un investitore, dato che possiedo assets su Splinterlands, WOO, Holozing e, per ora, Golem Overlord. Un cambio di rotta che sicuramente influirà anche sulle mie pubblicazioni qui su Hive, che saranno ovviamente meno orientate verso gli Hive Games. D'altra parte nella vita spesso occorre rinnovarsi ed adattarsi e **laddove finisce un viaggio, spesso ne inizia un altro**!
