There are a lot of reasons to be excited about Chibi Fighters right now, let me start by pointing out that it is currently free to play and an easy way to earn a few bucks worth of Ether. As usual there have been a slew of new updates in the past month. The first one I want to point out are the quirky, mid-battle, guest appearances by adorable critters from both Axie Infinity and CryptoKitties
If cute cameos are not your thing, Chibi Fighters has also just released a major update with the release of its killer line-up of Chibi Weapons. Players are now able to claim a uniquely identifiable Chibi Weapon for each of their Chibis (look for the Claim button under the Weapons tab of any Chibi). All that is required is a little gas to cover the transaction cost of moving your new weapons to your wallet, Chibi Weapons are ERC-721 tokens just like our Chibi Fighters, which means you have full ownership of them.
The icing on the cake is Chibi Fighters' limited time offer of a free Fighter, particularly useful to new,or potential players. These Fighters are not tradable assets but are otherwise the same as a regular Chibi Fighter. With one, players will be able to fight in PvP duels, set out on adventures, embark on Hunts, throw some crystals in the ether-pot and collect real-world value rewards, otherwise play the game. All that without ever having to bother with the hassle of acquiring a cryptocurrency for the first time. However, players will still need to have the MetaMask browser extension installed.
