Recently, Cines Unidos launched a special segment called Ghibli World, where they’re showcasing some of Studio Ghibli’s most iconic films. As fans, my sister and I couldn’t miss this opportunity, so we didn’t think twice before buying our tickets to watch Spirited Away.
This movie has always been one of my favorites from Studio Ghibli. More than just an animated film, it’s a true work of art—both visually and symbolically. Every detail is filled with magic: the landscapes, the music, the characters… everything conveys a sense of nostalgia and mystery that’s hard to put into words.
What I love most about Spirited Away is that it goes beyond fantasy. It’s a profound metaphor about personal growth, the inner strength we all carry, and the construction of identity. Chihiro starts off as a scared little girl, but little by little she learns to trust herself and face her fears—something I think we can all relate to at some point in life.
Experiencing it in the theater was incredible, since the big screen and surround sound made the story come to life even more. And to top off the night, we went out for sushi after the movie. It was truly a magical evening, and I’m so happy I got to relive one of my favorite films on the big screen. 💫

Hace poco, Cines Unidos lanzó un segmento especial llamado Mundo Ghibli, donde estarían transmitiendo varias de las películas más icónicas de Studio Ghibli. Como fans que somos mi hermana y yo, era imposible perdernos esta oportunidad, así que sin pensarlo mucho compramos nuestras entradas para ver El Viaje de Chihiro. Esta película siempre ha sido una de mis favoritas, dentro de Studio Ghibli. Más que una simple película animada, es una verdadera obra de arte, tanto visual como simbólica. Cada detalle está lleno de magia: los paisajes, la música, los personajes… todo transmite una sensación de nostalgia y misterio que es difícil de explicar con palabras. Lo que más me gusta de El Viaje de Chihiro es que va más allá de la fantasía. Es una metáfora profunda sobre el crecimiento personal, la fortaleza que todos llevamos dentro y la construcción de la identidad. Chihiro comienza como una niña asustada, pero poco a poco aprende a confiar en sí misma y a enfrentar sus miedos, algo con lo que creo que todos podemos identificarnos en algún momento de la vida. Vivir esta experiencia en el cine fue increíble, porque la pantalla grande y el sonido envolvente hicieron que la historia cobrara aún más vida. Y para cerrar El dia con broche de Oro fuimos a comer sushi despues de la function. Definitivamente, fue una noche mágica y estoy feliz de haber podido revivir una de mis películas favoritas en la gran pantalla. 💫
