Ancient beauty - watercolors on paper
Hello everyone, dear Hivers friends, and welcome back to my blog. Today I'm not sharing my favorite subject, seascapes, but I wanted to depict an ancient glimpse of a historic city. The main element of the composition is an old street lamp in the foreground that stands out in front of a small Baroque-style balcony. In the background on the far left, I painted a small Gothic mullioned window with the sky reflected in the glass. I also gave some importance to the iron door set into a wall decorated with clay bricks. Finally, I colored the shadows on the walls to emphasize the sunlight.

Antica bellezza - acquarelli su carta
Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e bentronati sul mio blog. Oggi non condivido il mio soggetto preferito, il paesaggio marino, ma ho voluto rappresentare uno scorcio antico di una città storica. La composizione ha come elemento principale un vecchio lampione in primo piano che svetta davanti ad un balconcino in stile barocco. Sullo sfondo in fondo a sinistra, ho dipinto una piccola bifora gotica con il cielo riflesso sui vetri. Ho dato una certa importanza anche al portone in ferro che si incassa in un muro decorato a mattoncini in argilla. Infine ho colorato le ombre sulle pareti per dare risalto alla luce del sole.
