Decay - watercolor on paper
Hello everyone dear Hivers friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I share a watercolor subject depicting an old door.
I tried to represent the charm of decadence that is inherent in all abandoned places. I painted the contrast between the brown and burnt sienna color of the weather-worn door with the light colors of the classic columns.
Finally I used the violet obtained from the magenta red and the cerulean blue, to color the shadows on the architectures.
I hope you like my decadent subject, I send you a Corinthian hug.

Decadenza - acquarello su carta
Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e ben tornati sul mio blog. Oggi condivido un soggetto ad acquarello che raffigura un vecchio portone. Ho cercato di rappresentare il fascino della decadenza che è insito in tutti i luoghi abbandonati. Ho dipinto il contrasto tra il colore marrone e terra di Siena bruciata del portone logorato dalle intemperie con i colori chiari delle colonnine di ordine classico. Infine ho usato il violetto ottenuto dal rosso magenta e il blu ceruleo, per colorare le ombre sulle architetture.
Spero che il mio soggetto decadente vi piaccia, vi mando un abbraccio corinzio.
