Lights on the cliff - watercolors on paper

Hello to all my dear Hivers friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I return to share my favorite subject, the seascape. I present a watercolor depicting a cliff in full sunlight with the typical colors of the clean seabed. But what I was interested in depicting was nothing more than the glistening and glare caused by the strong sunlight on a stretch of coastline. I played a lot with colored shadows, purple and mixed with yellow ochre, to achieve a softer and warmer brightness. The same applies to the reflections of the sea, which range from cerulean blue to cobalt and shades of green. I hope you like my watercolor painting. Here are all the steps of the creative process. Luci sulla scogliera - acquarelli su carta

Ciao a tutti cari amici Hivers e bentornati sul mio blog. Oggi torno a condividere il mio soggetto preferito, il paesaggio marino. Vi presento un acquarello che raffigura una scogliera in pieno sole con i colori tipici del fondale marino pulito. Ma quello che mi interessava rappresentare è stato nientaltro il luccicare ed i bagliori causati dalla forte luce solare su un tratto di costa marina. Ho giocato molto con le ombre colorate, violacee e miste al giallo ocra per ottenere una luminosità più dolce e calda. Lo stesso vale per i riflessi del mare che spaziano dal blu ceruleo al cobalto e a tonalità di verde.
