Another Snack Made of Banana Plantain. I must say that Turon is one of the most common banana snacks next to banana cue in the Philippines

What to do with the extra plantain? I cooked banana cue the day before, so let me cook turon at this time, which is the second famous one for me.

I have an extra step shown below to make the turon more special:

I would not choose an overripe banana, as it gets mushy in the process of sweetening.

Next, put 1/4 cup of water for the syrup.

Then 1/4 cup of sugar or less, depending on your taste preference.

Vanilla flavoring adds to the aroma of the food, which makes it more enticing.

Sweetened banana is a real game-changer as it will make an extra delicious filling. After this, we can cook it the normal way.

Below are the ingredients:

-lumpia wrapper (5 pcs) -banana saba (plantain) (4 pcs.) -sugar (5 tbsp) -cooking oil (1/2 cup) -vanilla (a drop)

Here are the steps:

I wrapped the banana with a lumpia wrapper.

My style is to cut the banana into smaller pieces to make it easier to wrap.

Just make sure to wrap it tightly and lock the end part with a little bit of water.

Next is to heat the pan and pour in the oil.

Then, I put thesugar and caramelized it before putting the turon (banana wrapped in lumpia wrapper).

Cook it until golden brown.

Super easy and simple.

Snack is ready! This is one of our go-to snacks aside from banana cue, which I already featured in the previous blog.
