Hello dear ones!
Sunday is indeed one of the most awaited day of the week. It is also my day off from household chores.
My husband cooked a hearty breakfast for me. As always, he loves to let me taste it and give him honest feedback about his dish since he only cooks once a week.
Today's breakfast is a boiled meat, aka nilaga in the philippines. But this one has a twist. He put noodles and a different type of veggies like cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, and potatoes.
The usual veggies for nilaga are just potatoes and cabbage. This one, though, is so colorful with more varieties of vegetables.
So I rated this as five!
What made the breakfast more special too is that I ate it with my family, including the youngest member of the family, my baby girl. And guess what, she ate a lot of vegetables. Surely, she likes her dad's prepared dish.
After breakfast, we then prepared to refill our spiritual tank by going to the church in the mall. This is our weekly routine.
We feed our souls with the word of God and hear encouraging words that will surely sustain us for the new week.
We walked excitedly all together.
So we listened to the message.
We got to see our churchmates, too. They also fill my baby with a lot of cuddles.
After the church, we visited my parents-in-law and had a good lunch with them.
The bread was so good since it was freshly baked. We also paired it with red and white pasta.
Also, we had pansit. Pansit is one of the all-time favorites of Filipinos. And it's a common dish during special occasions.
It has vegetables, chicken meat, and liver paired with squeezed calamansi (like lemon).
We had a nice catch-up and had a chat while having our lunch together.
After lunch, my mother-in-law gave us dessert, which was pastillas and chocolate. I wasn't able to take a photo since I was excited to eat it.
We also visited a nearby relative and said hello to them. They love to see the kids growing up and ask about what they are doing.
Today is a no occasion day, yet a very special one. Good food and people make our day special and memorable.
I hope you have a nice Sunday too.
