Venezuela is a tropical country where fruit trees can have up to 3 harvests. In general terms it rains a lot and more in the rainy season that lasts 6 months and sometimes a little more.

The orchard is the most interesting place in this season. The cicadas or cicadas. What do they call it in your country? It is the photo that symbolizes the arrival of the rains, this year the activity of this insect has been too intense, there are many singing their particular sound at the same time, this becomes deafening too cute as nature warns in time that the rainy season is coming.

The seedlings are being relocated to the orchards. Don't panic, not all of them will stay. We have given some away for a garden activity we are doing with the local Scout group. The rest will stay in the garden so as not to have a high density of crops, the rest will be destined for the planting project of our Agro Forest in @vidaverdeve an edible forest where we will start with the planting of 150 trees. Both activities will be done soon so stay tuned to my new publications to see the outcome of this beautiful work.

We have sprouted tomatoes, lettuce, eggplant, sweet and hot peppers and paprika. This is what will go in the garden, we also have ready to transplant, pumpkin, melon, cocoa, avocado, hibiscus flower. These will be planted in the agro-forest as they are bushes, some of them are tall and leafy.

I forgot that I also germinated strawberries and have already eaten some. The only bad thing is that I didn't plant them in season and the fruits are somewhat small. I have done my best to put more nutrients in them like ground eggshells, coffee and banana peels.
We want to advance in food independence this year. Venezuela is a very complicated country economically and money is not enough. We need to be independent from the central economic system in order to survive. I know many here know what I mean. @cvnuitter creator of @vidaverdeve is designing and organizing other communities so that together we can succeed and even the idea of agro tourism is making more and more sense. Offering food service with 100% organic harvested food is the goal.
Imagine a rural town where we could have different business models. We could not only make a living from that but have enough food for our families. The area where I live historically was a coffee growing area. Venezuela occupied for many years the first places in exports. Today, returning to those origins without using Monsanto agro-toxins of any brand is the most sincere thing we can do.

While we patiently but happily harvest our crops, convinced that we are on the right side of history.
Soon we will make special content of the planting of our Agro - Forest 🌳 undoubtedly one of the most ambitious projects of @vidaverdeve if you live in Venezuela 🇻🇪 and want to live this experience we can get in touch. Every month we are doing Art Meetings + Regen and Web3 in the spaces of @vidaverdeve can serve you to make post, help the environment and enjoy the beautiful cloud forests of El Hatillo.
