Hello to all of my dear friends on hive . How are you doing everyone ? Is everything okay? I am doing very great today. Today is one of those days that I am feeling very energetic since I woke up. I’m not always like that. I always find a way to feel good. Last night we went to my sister’s house to visit my sister and my little niece. After we talk and spent amazing time together, we had a little art class together and taught her how to draw. She is getting older and it is very easier to teach and also easier for her to follow what I say. If I become an art teacher in the end, there is no doubt that she is the reason. She listens very carefully and she is very smart. I wanted to make an illustration for this week’s contest and participate so I asked my niece to select a card for me to paint for this week contest. So I must say that I am back with my new fan art that I made last night for participating in this splinterlands art contest. The card she selected for this week of the splinterlands contest is named mermaid healer. I am sure she selected this card because she is very into mermaids. She likes them a lot and she always selects the cards that are about the mermaids. This mermaid healer that she selected is a very beautiful mermaid with big eyes and long curly hair. I did my best to make a very beautiful illustration of this beautiful mermaid healer.
This mermaid healer has a green skin that matches very well with her blue hair color. And with her white dress and the plus sign it shows that she is a healer. I searched through the internet because I didn’t want to write something that is not right and I found out that the plus sign is not actually a plus. It’s a cross sign. Cross and plus are totally different and it’s not like a cross at all ! Did you know that? Anyways, for making this painting I had an idea of drawing the mermaid in a nice gesture while her long and curly hair is emphasized. I used Red Plus sign ( cross sign as the say) for designing her earrings. I also liked the purple ball on her headband so I used the design and added some more next to the big one on the headband and also used it on the bottom of the earrings. I didn’t know how to design the background. I didn’t have any idea for that, the easiest way to design it was to make the background blue and draw some bubbles because mermaids live under sea and that was the initiate idea but then I thought coloring it black and use the cross signs for the design. I chose the second way because the other one was something that anyone would choose. The Red Cross also emphasizes on the healer personality of the mermaid.
