Dibujando a Elizabeth Bennett (ESP/ENG)

Hola comunidad de artistas, hacia rato que no pasaba por aquí a compartir algunos de mis dibujos, pero hoy por fin estoy desempolvando mis borradores para retomar mi vida entre los artistas de Hive.

Hello community of artists, it's been a while since I've been here to share some of my drawings, but today I'm finally dusting off my drafts to resume my life among the artists of Hive.

Si en algún momento me preguntan cuál es mi película favorita, sin duda en esa lista estaría Orgullo y Prejuicio. Y es que desde que la vi, hace un buen tiempo atrás, quedé enamorada de la historia, los personajes, la música, de todo.

If you ever ask me which is my favorite movie, Pride and Prejudice would definitely be on that list. Since I saw it a long time ago, I fell in love with the story, the characters, the music, everything.

La verdad es que cada tanto vuelvo a ver la película de 2005. Allí el personaje de Elizabeth Bennet interpretado por Keira Knightley es mi favorito, además la película tiene una fotografía muy hermosa y hay escenas de este personaje que había querido dibujar desde hace rato. En particular elegí esta imagen que tenía guardada en Pinterest.

The truth is that every now and then I go back to see the 2005 film. There the character of Elizabeth Bennet played by Keira Knightley is my favorite, plus the film has a very beautiful photography and there are scenes of this character that I had wanted to draw for a long time. In particular I chose this image that I had saved on Pinterest.

Al mismo tiempo también quería probar unos colores que adquirí recientemente de la marca Kalour, es un set de cincuenta lápices de colores que me salió en diez dólares, cosa que me pareció buen precio. Por eso, aprovechando las ganas que traía de dibujar agarre el cuaderno, los colores nuevos y me puse el capítulo de una versión de Orgullo y Prejuicio brasileña, a estas alturas les digo que no la termine de ver, pero bastante que me entretuvo en su tiempo.

At the same time I also wanted to try some colors that I recently acquired from the Kalour brand, it is a set of fifty colored pencils that cost me ten dollars, which I thought was a good price. So, taking advantage of the desire I had to draw, I grabbed the notebook, the new colors and I put on the chapter of a Brazilian version of Pride and Prejudice, at this point I tell you that I did not finish watching it, but I was quite entertained at the time.

Entonces para comenzar a dibujar, decidí hacerlo con color rojo en lugar de usar lápiz de grafito. Aquí vale mucho dibujar con líneas super claras para que luego no se noten demás.

So to start drawing, I decided to do it with red color instead of using graphite pencil. Here it is very important to draw with very clear lines so that they don't show too much.

Luego del boceto comencé a darle color a la piel con tonos amarillentos y rosados, siempre usando los tonos más claros.

After the sketch I began to color the skin with yellowish and pinkish tones, always using the lightest tones.

Creo que de mi parte favorita de este dibujo es esa mano. Para nadie es un secreto que dibujar manos es una cosa complicadísima, por eso cuando vi cómo iba agarrando forma me encanto. aunque quizás este ligeramente más grande en proporción al cuerpo, me encanta.

I think my favorite part of this drawing is that hand. It's no secret that drawing hands is a very complicated thing, that's why when I saw how it was taking shape I loved it. Although it might be slightly bigger in proportion to the body, I love it.

Para que la figura principal destaque tenía que pintar el fondo y siguiendo con la imagen de referencia donde Elizabeth está en medio de una pradera y se ve mucho verde, comencé a hacer trazos mezclando los colores, la verdad que estos Kalour se mezclan muy bien.

To make the main figure stand out I had to paint the background and following the reference image where Elizabeth is in the middle of a meadow and you can see a lot of green, I started to make strokes mixing the colors, the truth is that these Kalour blend very well.

Yo seguía con mi novela y la verdad que me estaba gustando bastante, no sé por qué no la termine de ver. Algo que me parecía super importante en la imagen era lograr la atmosfera donde esta Elizabeth y me refiero específicamente a esa luz dorada que la arropa, para eso coloree todo el borde con amarillo.

I was still working on my novel and the truth is that I was liking it a lot, I don't know why I didn't finish it. Something that I thought was very important in the image was to achieve the atmosphere where Elizabeth is and I am referring specifically to the golden light that surrounds her, for that I colored the entire border with yellow.

Así se veía todo el fondo verde, ahora la pregunta era como iba a hacer la vegetación que está en un primer plano en la imagen.

Now the question was how I was going to do the vegetation that is in the foreground of the image.

Pero lo pude resolver con un borrador, por suerte una característica de estos Kalour es que su mina que es blanda y por esa razón también es más fácil para borrar.

But I was able to solve it with an eraser, luckily a characteristic of these Kalour is that their lead is soft and for that reason it is also easier to erase.

La verdad que estoy encantada con este dibujito de Elizabeth Bennet para probar los lápices de colores marca Kalour. ¿Que si vale la pena comprarlos? Yo diría que sí, son cincuenta colores muy variados que fluyen de buena forma sobre el papel, cada capa de color se mezcla muy bien y lo mejor es que el precio es bastante accesible. Estos los compre por Amazon porque aquí en mi ciudad no los encontré por ninguna parte, de hecho, cuando los compre apenas estaban llegando los productos de esta marca a las papelerías, hoy en día si hay por todas partes colores Kalour, aquí abajo les estaré dejando una fotico por si los quieren comprar también y probarlos.

The truth is that I am delighted with this little drawing of Elizabeth Bennet to test the Kalour brand colored pencils. Is it worth buying them? I would say yes, they are fifty very varied colors that flow well on paper, each layer of color blends very well and the best thing is that the price is quite affordable. I bought these through Amazon because here in my city I couldn't find them anywhere, in fact, when I bought them I was just getting the products of this brand to the stationery stores, today there are Kalour colors everywhere, here below I'll be leaving a photo in case you want to buy them too and try them.
