This is an illustration of a bird sitting on a branch in the forest. I tried to create a fairytale-like atmosphere here. You’ll notice that the leaves and trees are not shown in a fully realistic way—I wanted to present them with a fresh perspective to enhance the environment.
One of the special aspects of this piece is that it’s not purely watercolor—it’s more of a mixed media work. I first painted it with watercolor, then edited it in Lightroom, and finally added some highlights in Procreate. This made the artwork brighter and gave it more depth.
Another interesting part is that the texture of the paper is still visible, which makes the painting feel more alive and vibrant.
This was actually created as a sample work for a project. It’s not completely finished yet.
