So I completely forgot to take progress pictures of this one so I shall simply describe the process. I started with a sketch that took several tries since there's a lot going on with this creature.
From there I inked the head trying to capture the texture of the fur and the ridges of the creatures face. From there I worked on the the neck and tried to capture the shaggy fur he has around his neck, from there I worked across the body getting the little bits of the fur and trying to show the shape and shadows. From there the legs which didn't turn out quite as nice as I would have liked.
With the main fella done I filled in the water, which I did with a lot of straight lines with short lines added to add dark and light trying to replicate the reflective surface. Then some little bits of texture for the shore rocks and some greenery.
