I've been away from Hive for what seems like a long time, but I have a good reason for this: a lost password. So, even though I was able to look at people's work, I've been unable to post or comment, which for me has felt like my legs had been taken off.
However, I've also moved house, and as a result of this, I found my old laptop – the one I'm currently writing this on! What's great is that I've been able to log into other old accounts too.
So, what have I been doing over the past two years, you ask? Well, it's been a long road. I ended up giving up the allotment and my chickens due to flooding (see attached pictures), which was heartbreaking as I loved my little bit of land. I've also moved house to a bigger one with more bathrooms than we need. The best thing is that it has a decent-sized garden for my kids to play in without worrying about anything, as it's very private.
We've also been on holiday. I made an amazing sand boat that some little kid, ten minutes after I built it, decided to climb on and destroyed. But the effort was put into it, and I loved doing it, so I'll probably be doing it all over again this year!
I also found a dying mouse that I tended to until it passed a few hours later. I did give it water, but it was already too far gone and wouldn't have made it to the vet. It was a nice little thing.
So, there has been quite a bit going on, and now I'm starting a new chapter in my life by making metal art. I've just started and am enjoying the hobby. I've made a couple of birds out of old cutlery that I ended up spraying black and gifting to a bird lover in the family.
And there you have it, a little bit of what I have been doing.
I hope your all keeping safe out there and till my next post, luck after yourselves
