Release the Kraken, an expression we have heard many times, but the most memorable is the one recited by the voice of Zeus in Rage of the Titans, how much he shouts: "Release the Kraken". This monstrous mythological figure makes anyone shudder with horror. But today my makeup is not about horror, but about the titanic power that this creature has and what I intend to convey through this makeup is that we release the monster of creativity that lives inside us. We must awaken it, and with all the passion to express through art our ideas, thoughts and everything we want to convey through Hive Blog. I leave you the step by step of my work today. Está monstruosa figura mitológica hace temblar de horror a cualquiera. Pero hoy mi maquillaje no se trata del horror, sino del poder titánico que tiene esta criatura y lo que pretendo transmitir a través de este maquillaje es que liberemos el mounstro de la creatividad que vive dentro de nosotros. Hay que despertarlo, y con toda la pasión expresar a través del arte nuestras ideas, pensamientos y todo aquello que queramos transmitir a través de Hive Blog. Liberen al Kraken, expresión que hemos escuchado muchas veces, pero la más memorable es la recitada mediante la voz de Zeus en Furia de Titanes cuánto grita: "Liberen al Kraken". Está monstruosa figura mitológica hace temblar de horror a cualquiera. Pero hoy mi maquillaje no se trata del horror, sino del poder titánico que tiene esta criatura y lo que pretendo transmitir a través de este maquillaje es que liberemos el mounstro de la creatividad que vive dentro de nosotros. Hay que despertarlo, y con toda la pasión expresar a través del arte nuestras ideas, pensamientos y todo aquello que queramos transmitir a través de Hive Blog. Les dejo el paso a paso de mi trabajo de hoy.

First step	Primer Paso
I applied foundation on my face. I usually do this because this way I already have that part in advance and if during the painting process I think of doing something else on the face, I already have it prepared. In this step, with a black eyeliner pencil I made the design of the figure to work.	Apliqué base de maquillaje en el rostro. Generalmente esto lo hago porque así ya tengo esa parte adelantada y si durante el proceso de pintura se me ocurre hacer algo más en el rostro, ya lo tengo preparado. En este paso, con un lápiz delineador negro realicé el diseño de la figura a trabajar.

Second Step	Segundo Paso
With light brown shadow I made the shading under the folds that simulate the torn skin. With dark blue shadow I smoothed the edges of the Kraken figure and with black paint I filled the space between the skin and the Kraken to simulate a hole.	Con sombra color marrón claro realicé el sombreado debajo de los pliegues que simulan la piel rasgada. Con sombra azul oscuro suavice los bordes de la figura de Kraken y con pintura negra rellené el espacio entre la piel y el Kraken para simular un agujero.

Step Three	Tercer Paso
With dark blue shadow I made a longitudinal stroke on each tentacle in the central part and then I completely filled each one with blue shadow in a lighter shade..	Con sombra azul oscuro realicé un trazo longitudinal en cada tentáculo en la parte central y luego rellené totalmente cada uno con sombra azul en un tono más claro.

Step fourth	Cuarto Paso
I made the suction cups on each tentacle following the direction of each one.	Realicé las ventosas de cada tentáculo siguiendo la dirección de cada uno.

Step Five	Quinto Paso
With black and white paint I made the work of lights and shadows to give depth and volume. This step is important because it is the one that gives the effect of movement to our design. Retouching the edges is also of utmost importance, it is something that should not be overlooked.	Con pintura negra y blanca realicé el trabajo de luces y sombras para dar profundidad y volumen. Este paso es importante porque es el que da efecto de movimiento a nuestro diseño. Retocar los bordes también es de suma importancia, es algo que no se debe pasar por alto.

Step Sixth	Sexto Paso
I did the face makeup. I selected shades of shadows in the same palette of blue and purple colors. I applied purple in the eye socket and on the lower lash line and blended towards the fixed stop with electric blue. Then I applied lilac eye shadow on the tear line on the mobile eyelid, to finish the eye makeup I applied black pencil on the lash line and sealed with black shadow extending towards the end of the eye socket. At this point I made small tentacles around the right eye. Lastly I applied carmine liner pencil on the lips and filled in with the same pencil.	Realicé el maquillaje del rostro. Seleccioné tonos de sombras en una misma paleta de colores azules y morados. Apliqué morado en la cuenca del ojo y en la línea de las pestañas inferiores y difuminé hacia el parado fijo con azul eléctrico. Luego apliqué sombra lila en el lagrimal en el párpado móvil, para terminar el maquillaje de ojos apliqué lápiz negro en la líneas de las pestañas y sellé con sombra negra extendiendo hacia el final de la cuenca del ojo. En este punto realicé unos pequeños tentáculos alrededor del ojo derecho. Por último apliqué lápiz delineador color carmín en los labios y rellené con el mismo lápiz.

Step Sixth

Sexto Paso

I did the face makeup. I selected shades of shadows in the same palette of blue and purple colors. I applied purple in the eye socket and on the lower lash line and blended towards the fixed stop with electric blue. Then I applied lilac eye shadow on the tear line on the mobile eyelid, to finish the eye makeup I applied black pencil on the lash line and sealed with black shadow extending towards the end of the eye socket. At this point I made small tentacles around the right eye. Lastly I applied carmine liner pencil on the lips and filled in with the same pencil.

Realicé el maquillaje del rostro. Seleccioné tonos de sombras en una misma paleta de colores azules y morados. Apliqué morado en la cuenca del ojo y en la línea de las pestañas inferiores y difuminé hacia el parado fijo con azul eléctrico. Luego apliqué sombra lila en el lagrimal en el párpado móvil, para terminar el maquillaje de ojos apliqué lápiz negro en la líneas de las pestañas y sellé con sombra negra extendiendo hacia el final de la cuenca del ojo. En este punto realicé unos pequeños tentáculos alrededor del ojo derecho. Por último apliqué lápiz delineador color carmín en los labios y rellené con el mismo lápiz.
