Never had I ever thought in my life that there would be a time when people will organise Fake Sangeets just so that they can have a good time.

Fake Sangeets have recently emerged as one of the major trends for the GenZ where it seems people are just fed up with the usual Clubbing is just not cutting out for them so they are looking for new ways to party.

So What is a Fake Sangeet?

If you want to know what a Fake Sangeet is then you need to know what an actual Sangeet is, which is basically a night of fun and dancing which is usually held a night before the wedding in our Indian Culture.

While a Fake Sangeet is also the same except the fact that there is no bride or groom or any marriage that is taking place its just a plain old party under the guise of a Sangeet.

So why is this Trend of Fake Sangeet Rising?

It seems young peoples are now feeling nostalgic about Marriage Ceremonies but at the same time they also don't want to face all the Social Norms that come out of a normal Marriage Celebration so the rise of these Fake Sangeets are like a boon to these young peoples.

The way these Fake Sangeets work is that organisers charge a ticket price ranging from 1000 INR to all the way to 20000 INR depending upon the scale of the event. Attendees are then assigned to either Bride's side or the Groom's side and then participate in a typical Sangeet games and fun.

In my opinion this seems like a newer take on a theme party where the theme itself is Sangeet so i am OK with it but you won't find me actively looking out for such activities to participate in.

So what do you guys think about this Rise of Fake Sangeets in India?
