Heyyy yooooo what's up Splinter Player around the Praetoria how are you doing? In this content i want to share the topic from @splinterlands weekly community challenge about Battlefield Breakdowns. And this time i will share that sometimes taking risk in Burning effect is kinda worth it. Meanwhile me, i dont have any unit monster that having burning effect except Kha'zi Conjurer the soulbound rewards card on Fire element which is yeah this one is not too good to used in battlefield in all condition. Maybe in some condition this unit will be good. But, yeah i am not a risk taker. So, lets break down the battle that i found pretty interesting here. I dont know that this risk can be a great opportunity to make shock the opponent in this case is me.
So, what i want to share is the promo card from conflict edition that is Zyrx The Emberglace, one of the Dragon unit that having burn effect because this unit having Incendiary as abilities.
Sadly i am still have few regular foil of conclave arcana and Rebellion edition and it cost too much for 1 wagon for me thats why i dont participate in conflict and also with regular foil it just make worse for me, it depending on RNG which is my luck is not too good either. Thats why i just give up and if i get more money from this game maybe i can buy one from secondary market. And Look at this dragon stats. This unit costing 10 mana which is very high amount of mana. And having dual attack that is 2 Magic Damage and 5 Melee Damage. For defence this unit having 7 armor and 10 health. Also the speed is kinda fast too with 4 speed. But last season i am very rare looking people using this unit into battlefield. I dont know but it seems this season many people got rich suddenly and having or at least playing using High end cards. I dont know is the rental cost is decreased or many people started rich and buying all of this high end cards. And yeah this time i seen more often people using Zyrx. Maybe i already encountered 7-10 battle in this weeks. So, did they not afraid using Zyrx with its burning effect? Or they can set up the burn effect, or just pure luck that can make this burn effect not spreading or even they can calculate properly so the battle can finish before the burn can be a suicide effect. Lets see the battle shall we
So before talking why i am using this line up lets see the ruleset first. I dont know this is coincedence or not but it seems that today many battles ruleset is tend to more towards what I don't have. It seems that the algorithm for today is make me dropping the win rate and also made my rating goes down. I dont know it should be the last season but it happened in this season. Like this one this battle have 2 ruleset that is What Doesn't Kill You that means all unit will having enrage abilities that will make all melee unit attack and speed get buff and the range and magic army only the speed that get buff. The second ruleset is the one that makes me lose because i dont have any good choice in my line up that is Heavy Metal that means both player can only summon armored units. The manacap this time is kinda high enough that is 54 manacap and the only element that cannot be used in this battle is Water. And this is the burden for me. Mostly the good unit that for battle and having armor is in the water especially Commander Slade combo with Elias Max Pruitt. But, this time i cannot use it since there is no more unit that can handle the thorns effect from Tofu. Thats why i am picking Tofu in this battle. So, this is my line up.
I am using Eternal Tofu because i think using Thorns effect will be great for this battle and also in Heavy Metal ruleset i think the choice of armored units in Life element is lots than in other element. And also i think the combo of scavenger ability is kinda good in this battle.
I am using this unit as frontline tanker because this unit kinda tanky enough that costing only 6 manacost and having 7 armor and 6 health with 2 melee damage and 4 speed. The ability is Flank that will make any melee unit that does not have reach ability can attack. The second abilities is Void Armor that will make all magic damage will attacking the armor first before the health. And the last is Protect ability that adding 2 armor to entire line up.
The second line up that i bring is Endless Ape since this unit having deflect ability that can make any thorns, magic reflect, or anything that can give back damage except from backfire ability will be nulled. And also this unit having scavenger ability that will adding its max health after any of unit died in battlefield. With costing 8 manacost and 3 melee damage and 4 speed, 2 armor and 12 health that would be great for second tanker.
Then next unit is Lord Thanalor. With 12 manacost, 4 magic damage, 4 speed,2 armor and 10 health this unit would be great as third tanker and also attacker since the magic attack is kinda high enough. And also this unit having Amplify ability that will gives bonus from backattack such as Thorns and magic reflect. And also this unit having scavenger ability that will adding the max health for anyone that die and the last is Rust which is will make opponent line up loses 2 armor as long as this unit still alive.
And this is my carry Olivia of the Brook. Usually this unit can be great when copying opponent ability using Mimic ability. Sadly this unit attack is not great at all with just 1 magic damage and 2 melee damage combined with 3 speed and 1 armor also 6 health. But other than Mimic ability this unit will hunting down the weakest or taunt unit first using Opportunity ability and this unit also have Deflect ability.
The next unit is Vivid Venomancer. Mine level is just 6 which is still 4 level behind maxed. But, i think this unit having good ability that is Shield Ward that gives shield ability to unit in front of Vivid Venomancer and also this unit having poison ability that having chance giving opponent poison effect. But, sadly in level 6 this unit kinda have low stats with only 4 health 1 armor and 2 magic damage and 3 speed. But, yeah the abilities is the good deal.
And the last unit is Satha Toledo. I am using this unit because this unit is kinda great support having Tank heal ability and Lookout ability so opponent that having opportunity, sneak,or snipe ability will get reduced when attacking adjacent units. And also this unit having 3 range damage which is kinda good deal and 4 speed 1 armor and 6 health. So, i think this unit is kinda best support in Earth element.
So, the opponent using Ambush army with higher and tanky frontline tanker that is Cavewise Wayfinder. I dont know why but when i using it, it feels mushy but when other people using it, it becomes super tanky like this one. And yeah of course my poison wont come out too. And also the opponent attack way more higher than i expected. And my line up and scavenger cannot compete againts opponent total attacks. I think the opponent really want to make the battle fast so he can swept my line up in just 2 rounds. And he did it. My line up is very mushy cannot holding enough especially after Zyrx got damage from burning effect and starting to enrage. The total damage will be 13 which is super huge compared to my line up. So, i think just take the risk and totally attacking all out kinda be great strategy too especially on Diamond league. Maybe i can consider it for next season.
