Hi, I am Arveno from Surabaya city. In this content i want to share about my concern lately. My son have Gritted Teeth. HIs teeth almost all are broken. Especially in front upper and bottom. Fortunately his rear molars still fine and not get affected by this gritted.
First of all i dont know since when his teeth are broken. I think it started when he was 2 years old. I dont know my mom side tradition was bad or not. All her kids including me are weaned from drinking milk at 1 year old. And she teach errr i mean forcing me indirectly to weaning my son too at that time. So, because i dont want to fight my mom and rude to my mom, I just obey her. And yeah it is hard since i think milk is basic need for infant. But, still when almost midnight when me and my wife need sleep most. When my son starting to tantrum and crying, at first we give him water. But, his crying is not subsided. Thats why i give him milk in the end. Maybe from this event that makes my son teeth gritted.
At first the gritted just part of the teeth and when i consult to Dentist, they said that my son still need to brush his teeth. But, no one told what to do about his meal or even his diet to make his gritted teeth getting worse.
But, actually brushing teeth kinda help a little bit. At least until right now, for 4 years, his teeth somehow can survive until right now. But, my son cannot eat food that too hard like rare steak beef or vegetables that hard like carrot and cannot eating fruit that hard too. I almost spend more than 300$ just to consult to Dentist and no one having big solution. Mostly all just said that need to wait until his milk teeth all gone and replaced it with the real teeth. And then need to take care the real teeth. But, what i concern is how to removing his teeth when he even does not have any teeth anymore. I am afraid this gritted teeth will still contaminated his real teeth. And i guess it will be hard to removing his teeth since the remaining teeth are very small and it will be hard to hold and removed it manually.
Especially his front upper teeth. It is just remaining small teeth. And i know it that it will effect to his appearance at public. Fortunately usually when in public we are using mask to prevent bacteria and virus. But, when in school sometimes he need to open the mask. I really dont know what to do for his Gritted Teeth actually from now on since me and my brother never have Gritted Teeth. Especially me, my teeth are kinda strong. Even when i got hit by asphalt when i had motorbike accident, my teeth still complete and still in there. It is just one of my canine tooth is very sharp right now because got drilled by asphalt. And since the form is not looks like real Canince tooth. It will make the between teeth can be easily clogged by food that stuck in my teeth.
