Heyyy yooooo what's up Splinter Player around the world how are you doing? In this content i want to share a little tip and my experience breaking the bot in Modern Ranked. As you know that right now many player felt salty after this liquidity bot dominated in the battlefield. Team said that Liquidity bot having 50% Win Rate. But, for me i think i just got below 40% Win rate againts this liquidity bots. And not only that since the price of rent card is rising every season. That will make me hard to get Break even each season. And yet team said will adjusting all the liquidity bots. But, i dont know are they working right now or just let it be and dont care about rental player like me.
But, hey i dont give up yet. I am still doing this Modern Ranked since i still need to do Tournament and need to get any profit to buying assets in here. Thats why i still need to keep going. And after some time, what i can do is using cards that i am rented and need to arrange differently and outside the box and break the pattern of the bot. Sometimes i succed and some of them still defeated especially in low manacap ruleset which is mostly when againts bots seems always got low manacap ruleset. But, this arrangement i think will not working againts human since the meta still strong when againts human. The RNG still random when againts human but different againts liquidity bots. So, we need to pick underated units and utilize them with maximum utility to beat those liquidity bots.
Here some of battles that i win againts those liquidity bots. And here some cards that unusually used when facing other players.
In this battle i won because i am bringing unusual unit that is Torch Vizier and Fenmoor Haunt.
I Renting at level 7 which is this is the stats, costing 5 mana with 4 melee damage, 4 speed, and 7 health. Her ability is Opportunity and Deflect ability. So she will not affected to thorns ability. And also this unit kinda pretty good for hunting low health units. And also when combined with Lorkus that giving additional bonus for Melee damage she will be super beast and if got Life Leech ability. She will be super beast.
The second unit that unusual to bring is Fenmoor Haunt. This common is kinda underated and since i already owned him, i just can using him in battle and this unit kinda pretty cool. Costing just 3 mana, having 2 melee damage, 5 speed and 5 health. His stats is just usual at the beginning but with his ability Scavenger, his max health will be increase after other unit died in battle. And also this unit is having Sneak ability and Void ability. So, after some time this unit can be a good defender too.
So, i bring those 2 melee fighter because the meta is kinda Magic damager line up recently especially when againts another human player and focused on one carry that is Kelan Gaines (usually). But, since i dont have Kelan and also i cannot afford to rent one. I just utilize what i have. And since often got beaten by this Fithe line up that always countering Magic damager line up. I switch my line up to be Melee damager this time. At first i am trying to check if those liquidity bots are like Battle Helper or not that can grow everytime. But, i think this liquidity bots just give the best possible againts one or some condition. And yes in low Diamond league or Gold League, those bot kinda pretty good to dispeling Magic Damager line up.Thats why i am switching to Melee damager this time and its is kinda work.
In second battle once again this bot dispeling Magic Damager Line up. When using Magic Damager i bet those line up will got beaten by this bot.
This time i am using Night Stalker and Chaos Jailer as the melee damager.
Night Stalker one of the Overpowered Promo card with costing only 4 mana with 4 melee damage 4 speed and 5 health. And also got Sneak ability, Execute ability which is the carry ability and also blast ability that can give some destructive power. And yeah i am very rare seen those liquidity bots bringing Night Stalker. And this season i got this card kinda cheap rent cost that why i can use this one.
Chaos Jailer, maybe not many player using this card anymore. Or maybe it just me that using this card on Modern. This card kinda pretty good for giving shock attack because of the ambush ability combined with Poison ability. If this first attack can gives poison effect it will give 2 bonus damage when entering round 1. And also this unit having opportunity ability.So, usually the carry in the team is the lowest health and that will be great target. For the stats i think this unit is kinda usual no good at all for long battle or short battle.
In this third battle once again i am using Night Stalker, Fenmoor Haunt, and additional Gobalano Soldier. At first i am very rare using Gobalano Soldier and Fenmoor Haunt when againts another player since it is not meta and can be beated so easily. But, this time using them againts bot kinda pretty cool. Fortunately i owned them except Night Stalker.
Same with before when i knew that i will facing bot, i just preparing using Night Stalker in battle since this Melee can be pretty good when accompanied by Lorkus as Archon since Lorkus giving 1 melee and magic damage buff and can gives life leech and affliction ability.
I think this unit kinda pretty good common in Fire element. But, turns out after Conclave Arcana release, many people wont using this common anymore. But, for me this unit still badass sometimes. Just costing 3 mana and having 3 melee damage 4 speed and also have 5 health. With Sneak ability, ambush ability, and the important one is Shattered ability. This unit will break opponent backline defender in no time. Thats why i am bringing this unit since i am afraid that opponent will using Fithe again in this battle.
So, based on those three battle. I can make assumption that this new Bloodline line up having similarities that countering magic damager. Umm, i think Magic Damager still needed when opponent using Della as Archon since they will using Bloodline Tribute ability as carry. And when handled Ulund army i usually using Magic Damager as counter. But, it seems not too working especially when opponent bringing Arcane Skinwalker. But, i think 40% of those liq bot strategy i can beat using this common underated unit except Night Stalker. And if you guys found ways to beat this liquidity bots.
