Disclaimer: This trip was pre-Covid and pre-Odette.
Literally, a day after my resignation, I went straight to the airport to catch the earliest flight to Siargao. That time it was my 2nd time visiting the island and it was with my sister and her friend. This was the first time I spent a vacation with my sister. She arrived on the island the day before me since we weren't able to book the same flights.

We stayed in a hut in General Luna. It wasn't somewhere I would stay, personally but she sponsored the accommodation, food, and activities for this trip so I can't complain. hahaha.

When I arrived I just rested for a few hours and we went straight to Cloud 9 for some surfing sessions. It was my sister's first time surfing while it's my second time. We sure did enjoy the rides with the tides.

After an hour of surfing, we went to this restaurant closed by and had some lunch. One thing I love about Siargao is the number of restaurants and cafes that offer a wide variety of vegan options. I will always find a place where I can eat with no worries. People there have a great understanding of the vegan and vegetarian lifestyle.
Good thing, my sister's friend rented a car and it was easy for us to go around the island. After our lunch, we went straight to Magpupungko Falls. This is a must-visit place whenever you are in Siargao. This place could be really crowded and it's not ideal to visit if it is high tide. My sister sure did enjoy our visit in this attraction. I was something very different from other attractions around our country. We had some fresh coconut juice and I ordered a Pansit Guisado because I got hungry.

We ended our day trips and head home. My sister got really tired and just rested for the rest of the night while I decided to go out and check a noodle place that has been recommended by friends and I was so in luck because it was just outside the street where we stayed. It was so worth it and it was delicious. After my dinner, I went to the restaurant in front of the noodle place and got myself a glass of Mojito to cap off the night. I know I should've gone out to a party but I'm glad that I didn't.
I stayed on the island for four days but I only had 2 days with my sister. I'll be sharing the rest of my experience in my next blogs. Do you also like traveling with your siblings? Where do you want to go if you will travel with them?
