Several months ago, I had the opportunity to share my expertise in smoothie making with Tropika Cafe, a cafe owned by my friend which I already shared here in my blog. You can click it here.
I have been looking forward to this collaboration because my friend mentioned it to me even before they started planning to open a cafe and for it to finally happen, I was ecstatic.
I taught the staff and my friend, Weng how to prepare the smoothies and what are the tricks and techniques to make them efficient and cost-friendly. I taught the team proper handling and slicing of the fruits. I also showed them how to pack and store the smoothies properly.

Prior to the training, I had already designed the presentation for the bowls and just refer to it during the training. I came up with 5 flavors, but Weng only choose 3 to be included in their menu.

The three smoothies are Nutty Banana, Blueberry Baby, and Theo's Favorite (this one was named after Weng's son because during the training he loved eating this smoothie.
Here are the photos of the smoothies and its brief description.
Blueberry Baby
is a combination of blueberries, mango, and banana topped with granola, pumpkin seeds, and desiccated coconut.

Nutty Banana
is made up of apple, banana, and peanut butter topped with sliced apples, bananas, granola and goji berries.

Theo's Favorite
is a mix of papaya, mango, and banana topped with mango chunks, granola, sunflower seeds and goji berries.

We also did a little photoshoot of the bowls with ourselves afterward.

I am so happy that Weng and the rest of the team were happy to learn and make smoothie bowls. I am so grateful to be able to share my knowledge with them and make the smoothie bowl accessible to the people of Zamboanguita!
