This week for Three Tune Tuesday I’m picking tunes from the band The Pixies. Me & Gene often share Pixies tunes from the late eighties & early nineties before the band broke up in 1993. In 2014 the Pixies reunited and put out there first album in 23 years. So I’d thought I’d share tunes from there new albums this Three Tune Tuesday.
First up it’s the tune Greens and Blues from the 2014 album “ Indie Cindy”.

Next up it’s a tune from the follow up 2016’s “ Head Carrier” album. I picked the album titled track Head Carrier for second pick.

For my third tune I picked the song Vault of Heaven. From the fourth Pixies album since reuniting titled “ Doggerel”.

For my bonus tune I go in order to there next album 2024’s “ The Night the Zombies Came” and choose the song You're So Impatient. After getting no Pixies music released from 1991 until 2014. The band really put out 5 albums in nine & a half years making up for lost time. It’s just a shame they didn’t stick around in the nineties given they probably would have caught that alt wave on never happened 1993 album. A girl will always wonder.
