🎵 Ashlee’s Three Tune Tuesday Trip To The Early Nineties Shoegaze Scene! 1991/1992/1993 Alternative Music 🎶

In the late eighties & blooming by early nineties there was an alternative music scene called #Shoegaze. Shoegaze defined by its use of guitar effects like distortion, reverb, and delay to create an “overwhelming volume" and"wall of sound" effect, often with ethereal, obscured vocals buried in the mix. The name comes from the performers' tendency. That’s what the so called experts define it as but I just call it a chill ass vibe! Definitely “Grunge” got the mainstream attention in the early nineties but shoegaze did get some mainstream love when early Smashing Pumpkins came into the radio & MTV fold, although I would call early Pumpkins not exactly a strait up Shoegaze band but similar.

I will pick three bands you might now know but who were heavily influential to the bands who would come in the Alt2k 2000’s years! & also to other strait up nineties acts. I’ll go in order 1991,1992,1993 for my choices to keep things organized and with theme 😄 My boyfriend @geneeverett likes to include album cover art with tunes so I’ll try that also. Though I’m going in a different order as he’s over my shoulder now cause I make him type these for me half the time 😂.
