I check into another backpackers and decided to try The Bunk which was famously mentioned by many and recommended by Booking.com. Plus it was another cheap hostel I could find after The Hood. I arrived 9.30pm afterwork and there were young people still hang out at the bar-liked lobby. However, compare to The Hood, there's a deposit for the safebox while its free in The Hood.
The bedrooms were upstair and you could find bunk beds everywhere and there was another level of steel platform build on top of the bunk beds to hold more bunk beds. That explains the name of the place I guess. Since I arrived late so I couldn't take a clearer photo of the view, just manage to take my bunk.
The thing I like about this place is that all the bunk beds comes with a curtain for privacy. It was like a capsule concept with your own lights and power plugs. This was the view of my bed which was on top. A little bit struggle to climb above but over time I will get a hang of it since I have been actively staying in backpackers.
The toilet and shower were basic, compare cleanliness to the previous hostel I stayed the previous was better. Probably this place was famous and attracts alot of people staying so the cleanliness was a bit off.
The next morning I was awaken by the sound of people chatting, giggling and sounded local. It annoys me the fact that they weren't considerate enough to others who were still sleeping. Almost wanted to shout "be quiet!" but I was too tired and sleepy to do so.
Breakfast was the same basic but this time the spread was just kaya and no banana. I think all backpackers serve the same kind.
I manage to exchange smile and pleasantries with a few tourist. Since I was in hurry to the office couldn't manage to talk much. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. May come back next time if they had a better offer.
