In front of me, there a large temple: Baphuon Temple. It's known for its reclining Buddha, and is built in the Khmer architectural style. Originally dedicate to the Hindu god Shiva, this temple has modified to accommodate Buddhism.
An addition to Baphuon Temple, a reclining Buddha statue was added during the Ayutthaya period in Angkor. This temple, to me, resemble a royal palace, a legacy of the past. Its size and architecture are so luxurious for that era.

Of all the temples in Angkor, only a few can be climbed (using stairs). Baphuon Temple is one of them. I climbed the stairs and slowly circled the temple, looking for the right spot to capture the beauty of the top. Interestingly, this temple looked more intact than the others. I love many things, one of which is the intricate architecture that creates a different level of experience.

Despite my fatigue, seeing Baphuon Temple filled me with excitement. I felt like I could get closer to the history. The fascinating details intrigued me, and they certainly made me believe that the world isn't centered on a single era. Hundreds of years have passed, and humans still exist. Relics of civilization like these are what make me believe that history is important to humanity. While all relics only tell us stories, they also teach us much about life.

The original Baphuon Temple was constructed of large, strong stones. Their meticulous arrangement is what has allowed this temple to survive for hundreds of years. With careful construction, the use of the highest-quality materials of the time, utilizing the available natural resources, a balance was achieved. Nature is capable of creating this, and with the human touch, using reason and energy, it has been so well-crafted and refined.

What amazed me most was that every detail of each temple was carefully considered for its strength. Were they built to last through the ages?
This temple, with its five levels tapering upwards, truly made me understand the meaning of strength. In essence, anything can be preserved with dedication. Another thing is that Baphuon Temple has a large enough building to accommodate many people. There are plenty of photo spots for capturing memories, and its unique characteristics are perfect for those who enjoy photography.

About Author
Hi! Let me introduce myself, its me Wita.
I'm just a woman who wants to write whatever's on my mind. I really enjoy cooking, occasionally traveling, and doing whatever I like. I want to live like a bird flying freely in nature. But I know I'm only human. So, I can only write freely like a bird that can fly with its two wings.
I'm usually very interested in new things. Let me be creative with at least these writings. I welcome any suggestions, as long as you mention them politely in the comments section. We can have a free discussion every now and then.
Don't think too much of me as you see in my posts. I'm just sharing what I have, and some of it is actually quite enjoyable to post. It's just that I don't really like posting bad things. I hope we continue to work together to build this Hive community.
