This is Ta Keo Temple, not far from the Phimeanakas Temple I post on yesterday. Every king built a temple as a place to help him achieve nirvana and immortality. Ta Keo Temple also testified to the Khmer empire at that time. Its large and tall structure makes Ta Keo Temple quite difficult to climb. ![IMG_9088.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/aswita/23tbuLUqGnoZ5z38b3ca5yg9eduSSLUGTjxxvyfpBSuHCy1FCiwVAfAntwBDonEzrBsAf.jpeg) ![IMG_9097.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/aswita/244xqYH22kMu6kPRwSgXCn4FE6Wue8ypod1PUJBnsq2rux7xUJQVTGQnxdZhGtEAE25L1.jpeg) ![IMG_9104.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/aswita/23wCHugPwkGJojbw5UKq53U7NJarEN1ksZFkgLyeBsp1dcEXSntqwaEZFBJ9VH9TUvBbK.jpeg) ![IMG_9092.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/aswita/23zGYLihRyE8k6wrSnW9hjNsqqsmMNYfTEufghNHwGUA3Aw3Nkxs7jG3JatYfKMtS9Rmj.jpeg) This is the fourth temple I've dared to climb, as it's permitted. When else will I be able to see a temple that bears silent witness to Khmer civilization? It's truly a great honor, and I will never waste this golden opportunity. The rock formation is quite steep, and each step leaves a deep mark on my leg muscles. I'm curious about what humans looked like at that time, considering building a temple like this. Did they have long enough legs to walk? Or were they similar to humans today? ![IMG_9103.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/aswita/243WM7D3AUDrwTpskFrYydVxxX9BG5L78Y2dRaobWpjJW5uzH18GxTMggjn4tbpVAs5EF.jpeg) ![IMG_9161.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/aswita/23ywnsypgxmSR4yZ7UTmR2uD6AXUBTqV5ak2SPJ8tb38feofRLCwV9Bg4z3TGdD9G6uBP.jpeg) ![IMG_9138.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/aswita/23ycwVWtN3Gune1XYeczewMcjBEPYLqbQ5STusSfZNRp1id3VJGos7ZqfjSEYLgUg1MX9.jpeg) ![IMG_9108.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/aswita/2449scKEf8Q89XXMHAgVwV5tsvDx8N2RSRWtjePhCKaXDWxrZPMBbzBUfQ7ukBL4rsvhp.jpeg) ![IMG_9112.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/aswita/243WMSsHPQ5z71EPUKAAvKAgZVSaWz51bDVyoiquLBfhU4xFKCNf4MvthrKh3frWDEWvf.jpeg) Ta Keo is truly beautiful from above. I was able to see the entire temple from above without having to walk around it. The view is breathtaking, and I suddenly realized I was in a previously abandoned forest, unaware of the Buddhist civilization that existed there. This temple boasts unique architecture. It was never completed, as history suggests it would be bad if completed. Consequently, it was give to a Hindu priest who serve as a minister during the reign of Suryavarman I. ![IMG_9146.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/aswita/23w2ipJxRNbGQKMGNECQFR73D9EqaQDgSCi3QVPps6kbtV9kGe95uqNANGuL9mDVvDKJc.jpeg) ![IMG_9147.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/aswita/23wMUEBbRKzW9tjFvTS1ZBeA5Eh37bjK4GJzrvBrgXE3YLJSHNxp6rWnzBogsuviaFCb5.jpeg) ![IMG_9151.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/aswita/23z7BYEZKyq4duSN5TPtnbLZ1dZ5hKyZSKqZWkfDhmX6EFBiTtH7CPCMzu68x3777yh1u.jpeg) ![IMG_9126.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/aswita/23wCA67JSnSdhJdWsgXR4Xnu81NrtxWswfCxtqobzBM8s8DVmkaxjs6FvSjezz1FhXBM6.jpeg) ![IMG_9127.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/aswita/23w2j3o6dUMvbz2JnFtdKKf2d5bx2CB1TaHTytCR7MCUSZmM4Jj1Dfjzfkx5tqTVq4E1Q.jpeg) Ta Keo Temple is surrounded by a moat that has now dry up. The temples shape and layout can seen from the information board right in front of it. It's a fascinating temple and offers a unique experience, as it's the tallest from another. The details of the statues at Ta Keo Temple is also fascinating. I have always notice that each temple different statues, even though they look very similar. To reach Ta Keo Temple, you have need to prepare yourself mentally and physically, as well as a strong back and waist for climb the temple. ![IMG_9140.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/aswita/23uQrpUHbdjo3beZdEdVuj1JDxVnvo1Dkif5yuhKwHYw8V6Sdp3nKFciJnvarF1FVBS3p.jpeg) ![IMG_9105.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/aswita/23wgFbpi8HkENcxexjkDgtJ1od5NKZPKVCVrbyo3wTXUwFkwuPo4WTmYvAb4sW3zxLPcc.jpeg) ![IMG_9106.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/aswita/23wByC7HJKDX5q4gY6mE3LU7M27Wf2TeCMWttL3ChHwV3mmeB5CZYy7usyRR7uhdtUFZJ.jpeg) ![IMG_9099.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/aswita/23w2gpeonGeuCGhZA4cAsrfrJVfCtQZq6EWoyip592YeiHfBtAXTWRZ1afPywV1Q4DpLC.jpeg) Honestly, if you dont exercise regularly, it will be very difficult to reach the top of the temple, especially when descending from the top. Your legs can become weak because the rocks are quite steep and slippery due to the thick dust. ----- See you the next time hive friends! ----- ----- Editing by Lightroom and VN iphone 11 ----- ----- -----

About Author Hi! Let me introduce myself, its me Wita. I'm just a woman who wants to write whatever's on my mind. I really enjoy cooking, occasionally traveling, and doing whatever I like. I want to live like a bird flying freely in nature. But I know I'm only human. So, I can only write freely like a bird that can fly with its two wings. I'm usually very interested in new things. Let me be creative with at least these writings. I welcome any suggestions, as long as you mention them politely in the comments section. We can have a free discussion every now and then. Don't think too much of me as you see in my posts. I'm just sharing what I have, and some of it is actually quite enjoyable to post. It's just that I don't really like posting bad things. I hope we continue to work together to build this Hive community.
