Of all the temples in Old Bagan, there are several that are architecturally distinct. They feel distinct because almost every temple shares a common color. Brick red is a must-have for every temple. Do you know why?
A local told us a little about the history of That Bin Nyu Temple, saying that it is the tallest temple in Old Bagan. Wow! It's interesting to see that the temples in Old Bagan are so different and compete for prestige. Of course, each temple has its own story and legitimacy, stemming from the kings who built the temple and their kingdom to appear powerful and risk everything.

This temple is one of the largest and most famous. That's why, as you can see from the photos I took, some of them look very crowd. Especially right in front of the entrance, where you can get the best angle of the temple, even getting very close to it, everyone likes.
I just followed a few people taking photos in front of it, but it turned out to be quite fun taking photos in a place like this, especially if I had to fight for a spot. I even queued to get a stunning photo that would add to my social media feed.

That Bin Nyu is a very large and expansive temple. Judging by the overall structure, it have five floors, but I'm not sure exactly. However, climbing to the next floor is prohibited, obviously for the safety of both visitors and the building itself. The building is very old, its back almost 10 centuries.
If you look closely, That Bin Nyu looks like a temple on stilts, with the surrounding courtyard separated by ground. This adds to the illusion of a grand and luxurious 'tallest'. The white plaster also sets it apart from other temples.

Inside the temple, there are Buddha statues face the four cardinal directions, as is the case with almost all temples in Myanmar, include Old Bagan. However, at That Bin Nyu, I only briefly explored the temple, not fully, due to the expansive area. I was already exhausted due to the crowds, which made me afraid of disturbing the pilgrims who were praying.
One thing I love most about That Bin Nyu is that it's so shady. Several trees surround the temple, making it feel more spacious and cool. Also, because the temple has a high facade, the breeze and fresh air can flow inside.

About Author
Hi! Let me introduce myself, its me Wita.
I'm just a woman who wants to write whatever's on my mind. I really enjoy cooking, occasionally traveling, and doing whatever I like. I want to live like a bird flying freely in nature. But I know I'm only human. So, I can only write freely like a bird that can fly with its two wings.
I'm usually very interested in new things. Let me be creative with at least these writings. I welcome any suggestions, as long as you mention them politely in the comments section. We can have a free discussion every now and then.
Don't think too much of me as you see in my posts. I'm just sharing what I have, and some of it is actually quite enjoyable to post. It's just that I don't really like posting bad things. I hope we continue to work together to build this Hive community.
