'kofē, an Oasis for Coffee Lovers

It's one of those quaint little corners that have been popping in Cebu in the last couple of years. Every time I was in the area, it was always full. But this time, Tiger and I came earlier, and we finally had a chance to take a seat and enjoy a cup.

I had an iced dark mocha while Tiger had a puppucino. But as a language teacher, I'm drawn not only to the aroma of coffee beans but also to how they chose to spell coffee--'kôfē. Yes, it's using the phonetic alphabet complete with diacritical marks. I'm in love. 😍 They should have enclosed it in brackets to complete the symbols. 😁

Here's a closeup of the minimalist and linguistically inclined branding. 😊

'kôfē is located at The Greenery, along Pope John Paul II Avenue (formerly Juan Luna Avenue). It's near The Gallery, IPI, and San Carlos Seminary. The cafe itself is at the back, beyond the garden next to the parking lot.

It's only a five-minute walk from my place, but it takes longer with Tiger. You know how it is with dogs.

He has taken it upon himself to check every plant along the way. He cannot be dissuaded. Dogs are led by the nose. 😁

'kôfē is at the left corner beyond The Greenery garden. I think the roof of the café is discernible from this distance.

This is Tiger's favorite garden. When I'd tell him we're going to the garden, he'd walk faster. And he doesn't want to go home early. Of course. Just look at this space. Dogs and little children love running around on the grass. I let Tiger sniff around for a bit, and then off we went to the café.

From this angle, the café looks like an oasis for coffee lovers. I love how it's a good distance from the street but secluded enough to be quiet for you to enjoy your drink.

The interior is even more quaint with the decors and trinkets. My friend said it got the "look," and I totally agree. I wish I could spend time with him here. I'm sure he'd like this place.

Here's a closer look at the display. I love their choice of colours and plants. This place feels homey and cosy.

Coffee, tea, or me? 😁 Just kidding. I was just thinking that they even have our badges of honour. Coffee and tea lovers, raise a glass! Or a cup if you will. 😉

You can sit at the bar if that's what you want, or . . .

On the lawn chairs right in front. This is great when you're chatting with a friend. But you can also stay in the shade when it's too hot.

I love this rustic tropical garden vibe. They even have seashells hanging on the trellis there. And those glowing orbs made of traditional materials. It certainly has the "look."

Here's a close up of the hanging fixtures:

I really like the metal posters and plants combination. Vintage and green.

You have lots of options from coffee, tea, liquor and wine, pasta, and even rice meals. I only ordered a coffee drink. Next time, I'll try their Spamsilog with cheese sticks. 😋

Please take note that it's a smoking zone. So those of you who want to enjoy a cigarette while drinking coffee, you will certainly like it here.

When dusk came, Tiger got restless. He wanted to continue with our walk. But let us just enjoy the fading light for a moment.

Tiger was so happy with our excursion. Just look at his goofy face. He couldn't sit still for the camera. He got some more sniffing to do.

Till next time! See you at 'kôfē soon. 🌸
