It was a pleasant surprise from our school staff! I was invigilating an exam when I got a message from our secretary. That I had a box waiting for me at my table.
Turned out, it was the Teacher's Day gift box. And I was just elated and grateful with their gesture. I couldn't hide my kilig!
TBH, I wasn't expecting anything since I missed the celebration last November as I was still working remotely in Cebu. But they didn't forget. So now that I'm here in Indonesia, I finally received it. These people are just the sweetest, aren't they?
So what's in the box? I got two boxes actually, hehe. One is a box of KN95 masks that I can wear to school, which is really thoughtful of them. (We are already doing 100% face-to-face classes, but we still wear masks, especially inside the classroom.) The bigger box is the Teacher's Day gift box itself. It contains a cool tumbler with an LED dial that indicates the temperature inside; it's ideal for my morning tea. Another is a cutlery set, so I don't need to bring my own utensils from home. Then there's the tote bag for those papers that I need to bring home to check; it can also be used for quick trips to the grocery shop. Lastly, there's the 2022 calendar with the teachers' photos.
I'm so thankful to the school for this gift. It's good to be back.
