Hello everyone, have a nice day and good battles. In this new season of Splinterlands, I started with 2900 rating in the modern format. Five days have passed and I have managed to reach Diamond I, and I'm currently around 3500 rating. Thanks to reaching higher tiers, I got some free loot chests, which is exciting because in any of them, there is a chance of getting legendary cards, and best of all, gold legendary cards; it's a matter of luck, but it's a lot of fun.
Upon reaching diamond II (3100 rating), I obtained 11 minor loot chests, 8 major loot chests, and 2 ultimate loot chests. As always, I got some potions, as well as some merits. And I got a new item, a common scroll, which can be used on a regular common conclave arcana reward card, making the card fully tradable. In addition, I got a lot of common cards, and only a couple of rare cards.
And when I reached 3400 rating (diamond I), I got 12 minor loot chests, 9 major, and 3 ultimate chests. Once again, I got some potions and merits. And this time I got 14 entries, which will give me a better chance of getting a black foil (conclave arcana reward card) at the end of the weekly fortune draw. Additionally, I got 2 common scrolls, many common cards, and only one rare card.
I now have the rare card, Withered Old Sage at level 2, gaining the void ability, so it receives 50% less damage from magic attacks. Unfortunately, it only has 2 health, but when I manage to level it up more, it will gain more health points and therefore be able to withstand a little bit more.
I also leveled up, the Anchor-Hex Adept to level 2. This rodentian now has the divine shield ability, so the first damage it receives will be ignored, except for poison an debilitation effects such as electrified and burning.
And the last rare card I managed to level up to level 2 is the Careless Badger, which now has the Opportunity ability, allowing it, while in the backline, to attack the enemy unit with the lowest health. It only has 1 health point, and is very slow, so it will perform better when the reverse speed modifier is active, where units with low speed attack first.
I can level up the Stonebind Matron from level 2 to level 3, but curiously it doesn't gain any stats or abilities, so for now I will leave it at level 2.
For now I have all the common conclave arcana reward cards, all the rares except two, and unfortunately no epic or legendaries, but that will change over time, of course. As you can see in the images, my common and rare cards are at low levels. For now, I'm saving my glint to get a bulk discount on legendary and gold potions. There are still 10 days left untill this season ends, so there is a good chance I will reach the champion league. It will be great to return to the top league, but the battles will undoubtedly be more difficult. Anyway, I will do my best and gradually get all the new reward cards, which are very useful at higher levels, and are already being used in champion battles.
