Hello everyone, have a nice day and good battles. This time I will be participating in this Splinterlands Challenge, which is about sharing an exciting battle. And I have a battle where it is shown that the Armored Strike ability is pretty good. In this battle, the protagonist is Nimbledook Explorer, who has no attack, but does have the Armored Strike ability, the only ability that allows a unit to perform an attack with its armor (this is a physical attack), so the unit must be in the first postion to be able to attack, or under specific rulesets that allow it to attack from the backline.

Nimbledook Explorer is a light unit of 4 mana, so is perfect for the Little League ruleset.

Nimbledook%20Explorer_lv10.png

At level 1, he only has the Protect ability, which allows him to grant +2 armor to himself and his allies while he is alive. And at level 5, he gains the Armored Strike ability, which allows him to attack with his armor.

And at max level, he gains the Heal ability, which allows him to restore a third of his max health each turn, allowing him to survive.

In this battle, there are three rulesets active. The first is the Super Sneak, which grants all melee units on the battlefield to have the Sneak ability, so any melee unit except those that are in the frontline, will attack to the enemy unit in the last position. The second ruleset is the Armored Up, which grants +2 armor to all units. And finally, there is the Beefcakes ruleset, which only allows allows players to summon units with 5 or more health.

This time I used the most beatiful archon, Eternal Tofu, which grants +2 health to all allied units. This cat also grants the Snare and Thorns ability to allied units. And unfortunately, I didn't pay enough attention in this battle, and the 40 seconds of tactic stage passed, and I didn't give any abilities to any unit. image.png

In the first position, I put Halfling Refugee, currently the best 1 mana unit in Splinterlands, just take a look at his stats, he is too powerful. But with great power comes a curse, Refugee has the Weary ability, which has a 10% chance to activate in the first round, then, on each following round, the chance increases by 10% chance, up to a max of 80%. If Refugee is affected by Weary, he cannot make any movements that turn.

It can restore a third of his health each turn, of course, unless his Weary ability is triggered.

In the second position will be the protagonist of the battle, Nimbledook Explorer, ready to defeat some enemies with his armor. Normally he has 6 armor, but thanks to the Armored Up ruleset that grants +2 armor to all units, this battle he has 8 armor, so his Armored Strike attack will inflict a lot of pain.

https://images.hive.blog/240x260/https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/soulboundrb/Gallicus_lv2.png

In the third position is Meriput Magician, its only level 2, but its Tank Heal ability is enough to support its frontline ally, healing it for a third of its max health each turn.

And, in the last position will be Gallicus, who will force enemy backline units to attack him due to his Taunt ability, and will take 50% less damage from physical attacks thanks to his Shield ability.

Battle

In the first round, the enemies Cavewise Wayfinder, Vicious Giraffe and my unit, Gallicus were damaged, but none were defeated.

In the second round, Gallicus is defeated by the enemy Vicious Giraffe. And the enemy Cavewise Wayfinder is defeated by the thorns ability when attacked my Halfling Refugee.

image.png

In the third round, Kha'zi Conjurer defeats my Halfling Refugee. Then, Blazebeard Merc defeats Meriput Magician. After that, Nimbledook Explorer defeats Vicious Giraffe.

In the fourth round, Blazebeard Merc and Kha'zi Conjurer were defeated by the burning ability. Then, Nimbledook Explorer ends the battle by defeating the enemy Refugee.

r3.gif Full Battle

This battle proves that the Armored Strike ability is really useful, as it grants and additional attack to the unit that has it, and for those units that don't have attack like Nimbledook Explorer, it gives them the opportunity to attack while they have armor.

The opponent played two burnings units, that are incredible strong for a low mana cost, Blazebeard Merc and Kha'zi Conjurer, but unfortunately they were defeated by their own ability, which deals 2 damage to them at the start of each turn.

Nimbledook Explorer only eliminated one unit this time, but helped his allied units with extra armor. And he was the only unit that survived this battle.

https://images.hive.blog/240x260/https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/soulboundrb/Halfling%20Refugee_lv6.png

https://images.hive.blog/240x260/https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/soulboundrb/Nimbledook%20Explorer_lv10.png

https://images.hive.blog/240x260/https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/rebellion/Meriput%20Magician_lv2.png
https://images.hive.blog/240x260/https://d36mxiodymuqjm.cloudfront.net/cards_by_level/soulboundrb/Gallicus_lv2.png

Luego, Blazebeard Merc derrotó a Meriput Magician.
