Today, on this Monday of needles, I'm here to tell you that this weekend I knitted a different project: I knitted a pear! 🍐 I confess that this is the first time I've dared to knit a piece of fruit, and to my surprise, I loved knitting it. The size turned out just as I imagined, very cute with the amigurumi technique, and now I want to make more. In fact, I'm thinking it could be a nice project for next year: a knitted fruit arrangement to decorate my kitchen. For now, I'm putting it on the waiting list, because I'm already thinking about the Christmas projects I want to prepare.✨

Hoy en este lunes de agujas vengo a contarles que este fin de semana tejí un proyecto diferente: ¡tejí una pera! 🍐 Les confieso que es la primera vez que me animo a tejer una fruta y, para mi sorpresa, me encantó tejerla. El tamaño quedó justo como me lo imaginaba, muy coqueto con la técnica del amigurumi, y ya me dieron ganas de hacer más. De hecho, estoy pensando que podría ser un lindo proyecto para el próximo año: un arreglo frutal tejido que adorne la cocina de mi casa. Por ahora, lo dejo en lista de espera, porque ya estoy con la cabeza metida en los proyectos navideños que quiero preparar.✨
Now, let me tell you why I have this pear. This Wednesday, my craft group is celebrating Friendship Day. We decided to do a “secret friend” exchange, with the condition that we give each other a piece of fruit. I asked my secret friend to surprise me with whatever they wanted, but the friend I got asked for a pear. So, on Wednesday, I'm bringing a delicious pear to our Wednesday meeting at the library to give to my friend so she can enjoy it with us.🌹✨
But, being me, I couldn't just leave it at that. I wanted to give her something else, something she could keep as a memento of this beautiful day. That's why I decided to knit her this pear, made with love. I hope that when she sees it, she smiles and, every time she looks at it, she remembers this moment we shared. In the end, that's what I like most about giving little knitted gifts that I've made myself, because they become a beautiful memory of moments lived and also a gift for the heart. 💚
Ahora, les cuento el porqué de esta pera. Este miércoles vamos a celebrar en mi grupo de artesanas el Día de la Amistad. Decidimos hacer un intercambio de “amiga secreta”, con la condición de regalar una fruta. Yo pedí que mi amiga secreta me sorprendiera con la que quisiera, pero la amiga que me tocó a mí pidió una pera. Así que el miércoles llevo a la reunión de los miércoles en la biblioteca una deliciosa pera para entregársela a mi amiga y que la disfrute en nuestro compartir.🌹✨
Pero, como soy yo, no podía quedarme solo con eso. Quería darle algo más, algo que le quedara como recuerdo de este día tan bonito. Por eso decidí tejerle esta pera tejida, hecha con cariño. Espero que cuando la vea sonría y, cada vez que la mire, recuerde este momento compartido. Al final, eso es lo que más me gusta de regalar cositas tejidas hechas por mí, pues se convierten en un recuerdo bonito de momentos vividos y, también, en un regalo para el corazón. 💚
