Today we are celebrating!
It's not every day that we celebrate three years of dreams fulfilled, constant work, and lots and lots of love for what we do. Today, I raise a toast to the three years of Arepas Café Chapinero, our family business that was born with the dream of bringing a little piece of Venezuela to this beautiful city.
I remember that first day as if it were yesterday, with nerves on edge and ready to learn every day. We dreamed that every person who walked through our door would feel that comforting warmth of home, and today I can proudly say that we have achieved it. It has not been an easy road: there have been early mornings, lessons learned, and moments of uncertainty. But above all, it has been a journey filled with gratitude.
¡Saludos para mis queridos amigos emprendedores! Espero que se encuentren muy bien con salud y bienestar para seguir adelante con sus negocios y emprendimientos lo mejor posible.
¡Hoy estamos de fiesta!
No todos los días se celebran tres años de sueños cumplidos, trabajo constante y mucho, mucho amor por lo que hacemos. Hoy, brindo por los tres años de Arepas Café Chapinero, nuestro emprendimiento familiar que nació con la ilusión de traer un pedacito de Venezuela a esta hermosa ciudad.
Recuerdo como si fuera ayer aquella primera jornada, con los nervios a flor de piel y dispuestos a aprender cada día. Soñábamos con que cada persona que cruzara nuestra puerta sintiera ese calorcito de hogar que tanto reconforta, y hoy puedo decir con orgullo que lo hemos logrado. No ha sido un camino sencillo: ha habido madrugones, aprendizajes y también momentos de incertidumbre. Pero por encima de todo, ha sido un camino lleno de gratitud.

Arepas Café Chapinero is the result of family unity and the unconditional support of friends, neighbors, and customers who have become part of our history. Here, we serve with love, listen to stories, share laughter, and even the occasional tear. Over the past three years, we have seen families gather to celebrate birthdays, couples who come every week to their “little corner,” and customers who started out trying our food “out of curiosity” and are now friends of the house. And yes, we have had the privilege of seeing smiles light up when someone tries a reina pepiada, a hallaca, or a well-served pabellón for the first time, and our hearts are filled with joy. Both our Venezuelan and Colombian brothers and sisters who visit us have been very receptive and generous with their compliments.
Arepas Café Chapinero es el resultado de la unión familiar, del apoyo incondicional de amigos, vecinos y clientes que se han convertido en parte de nuestra historia. Aquí servimos con cariño, escuchamos historias, compartimos risas y hasta alguna que otra lágrima. En estos tres años, hemos visto a familias reunirse para celebrar cumpleaños, a parejas que vienen cada semana a su “rinconcito” y a clientes que empezaron probando “por curiosidad” y hoy son amigos de la casa. Y sí, hemos tenido el privilegio ver sonrisas iluminadas cuando alguien prueba por primera vez una reina pepiada, una hallaca o un pabellón bien servido y nuestros corazones se exaltan de alegría. Tanto nuestros hermanos venezolanos como los hermanos colombianos que nos visitan han sido muy receptivos y generosos con sus halagos.

In a startup, every year is a victory, so reaching three years means that we have put down roots, that we have been able to adapt, reinvent ourselves, and grow. That is why today we are celebrating an anniversary, and we are also celebrating the effort, perseverance, and community we have built around us. We celebrate every coffee served, every arepa prepared, every word of encouragement we have received, and every challenge overcome. We celebrate the affection of those who visit us and the pride of knowing that we are building something with purpose.
En un emprendimiento, cada año es una victoria, así que cumplir tres significa que hemos echado raíces, que hemos sabido adaptarnos, reinventarnos y crecer. Por esto, hoy celebramos un aniversario, y celebramos, también, el esfuerzo, la constancia, la comunidad que hemos construido a nuestro alrededor. Celebramos cada café servido, cada arepa preparada, cada palabra de aliento que hemos recibido y también cada reto superado. Celebramos el cariño de quienes nos visitan y el orgullo de saber que estamos construyendo algo con propósito.
To everyone who has been part of this journey: THANK YOU! Thank you for trusting us, for recommending us, for coming back again and again, for sharing a moment in our second home in Bogotá.
Today we blow out the candles with our enthusiasm intact and with a very clear wish: that the coming years will find us still here, serving with love and bringing the taste of Venezuela to more hearts in Bogotá... and beyond.
And on this special day, I also want to send a round of applause and a big virtual hug to the Be Entrepreneur community, which, like us, is celebrating three years of life, inspiration, and support for those of us who have decided to take the leap of believing in our ideas.

A todos los que han sido parte de este camino: ¡GRACIAS! Gracias por confiar en nosotros, por recomendarnos, por volver una y otra vez, por compartir un momento en nuestro segundo hogar en Bogotá.
