I'm back to tell you that, taking advantage of the wooden beads I had left over from my mom's souvenirs, I decided to give them a new use and turn them into decorative garlands that I had been wanting to make for a long time. The idea had been on my mind for a while, because I had seen these garlands with large, eye-catching beads in stores and on decoration websites, and I always thought: how beautiful they look, adding a special touch to any corner! 📿
Today, Saturday, I said to myself: you have the materials, let's do it! Let's get to work.💫

Estoy de vuelta para contarles que, aprovechando las cuentas de madera que me quedaron de los recuerditos de mi mamá, decidí darles un nuevo uso y transformarlas en unas guirnaldas decorativas que tenía tiempo queriendo hacer. La idea me rondaba desde hacía rato, porque en las tiendas y en páginas de decoración había visto estas guirnaldas con cuentas grandes, muy llamativas, y siempre pensaba: ¡qué bonitas se ven para dar un toque especial a cualquier rincón!📿
Hoy sábado me dije: tienes materiales, ¡vamos! manos a la obra.💫

The first step was to organize the materials. You don't need much for this project: wooden beads, acrylic knitting yarn, a little jute, and a measuring tape. Once everything was ready, I cut two pieces of jute yarn, each about 50 cm long. The length can vary depending on how long you want your garland to be, but I thought this was perfect to start with.
Then I started stringing the beads one by one. It's a very entertaining process, and I must say, very relaxing, because stringing each bead requires calm and tranquility. When I had all the beads in place—45 in total for each garland—I decided to add an extra detail: I attached a tassel made of acrylic thread to each end. They're easy to make: just roll the thread around several times, tie it at the top, cut the ends, and you're done!📿
Lo primero fue organizar los materiales. Para este proyecto no se necesita gran cosa: las cuentas de madera, hilo de tejer acrilico, un poco de yute y una cinta métrica. Ya con todo listo, corté dos pedazos de hilo de yute de unos 50 cm cada uno. La medida puede variar según lo largo que quieras tu guirnalda, pero me pareció perfecta para comenzar.
Después, empecé a ensartar las cuentas una por una. Es un proceso muy entretenido, y les cuento que relajante, porque ir metiendo cada cuentita requiere de calma y tranquilidad. Cuando ya tenía todas las cuentas en su lugar, en total fueron 45 para cada guirnalda, decidí darle un detalle extra: en cada extremo le coloqué una borla hecha con el hilo acrílico. Hacerlas es sencillo: enrollas el hilo varias veces, lo amarras en la parte superior, cortas los extremos y ¡listo!📿

I loved the result. Although my beads are smaller than those I had seen in different decorations, I think the garland turned out beautiful and delicate. And best of all, I made it with my own hands. Now it adorns my spaces, giving them a very cozy feel: one on the entryway cabinet and the other decorating the candles I have in the kitchen.💫
I satisfied my craving and confirmed, once again, that you don't have to spend a lot to have beautiful details in your home.✨

Y, lo mejor, hecha con mis manos. Ahora luce en mis espacios, dándoles un aire muy acogedor: una en el mueble de la entrada y la otra decorando las velitas que tengo en la cocina.💫
