This week I finished a new project: some earrings that I am really excited about and want to share with you, my dear jewelry community. These earrings represent a small step forward in my creative journey. This time, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and not make them as pins or studs, as I usually do, but as pendants. The change came about because I recently learned how to work with pendants, and it seemed like an excellent opportunity to put what I've been learning into practice and challenge myself a little more.💫
As a base, I repeated a geometric shape that I love and that has given me very good results: [the rhombus](https://peakd.com/hive-189504/@aurodivys/blue-diamond-earrings-my-new-creation). I used 18-gauge wire to give the structure strength, as I wanted the design to maintain a good balance between delicacy and resistance. What was special about this occasion was that I decided to give it a more elegant touch by incorporating black stones into the design. These stones add sobriety, but also versatility because they make the earrings suitable for both day and night, with casual or slightly more formal outfits.✨
In the center, I decided to experiment with free weaving. I used 26-gauge wire and, without a fixed pattern, I passed the thread from one side to the other, crossing it intuitively, without worrying too much about symmetry or perfection. The idea was to fill the interior space of the diamond with an artistic tangle, something that would convey texture. In the end, that improvisation ended up giving the earrings a lot of personality, because the weaving contrasts beautifully with the sobriety of the black stones.💫

Esta semana terminé un nuevo proyecto: unos aretes que me tienen realmente emocionada y quiero compartirlos con ustedes, mi querida comunidad de joyería. Estos zarcillos representan un pequeño avance en mi camino creativo. Esta vez decidí salir de mi zona de confort y no hacerlos de pin o poste, como suelo hacerlo, sino de colgante. El cambio vino porque recientemente aprendí a trabajar los colgantes y me pareció una excelente oportunidad para poner en práctica lo que he ido aprendiendo y retarme un poquito más.💫

Utilicé alambre calibre 18 para darle firmeza a la estructura, ya que quería que el diseño mantuviera un buen equilibrio entre delicadeza y resistencia. Lo especial de esta ocasión fue que decidí darle un toque más elegante incorporando piedritas negras en el diseño. Estas piedritas aportan sobriedad, pero también versatilidad porque hacen que los zarcillos puedan usarse tanto de día como de noche, con atuendos casuales o un poco más formales.✨
En la parte central me animé a experimentar con un tejido libre. Usé alambre 26 y, sin un patrón fijo, fui pasando el hilo de un lado a otro, cruzándolo de manera intuitiva, sin preocuparme demasiado por la simetría o la perfección. La idea era llenar el espacio interior del rombito con un enredo artístico, algo que transmitiera textura. Al final, esa improvisación terminó dándole mucha personalidad a los zarcillos, porque el tejido contrasta de manera hermosa con la sobriedad de las piedritas negras.💫

Of course, the pendant was a must. That small detail was what turned the design into truly flowing earrings. As soon as I finished putting them together, I held them in my hand and moved them a little: the shine of the wire, the contrast of the black, and the lightness of the pendant made me fall in love with them instantly. I couldn't resist, and as often happens with pieces I really like, I put them on right away.💖
I chose a casual but elegant look: dark jeans, a simple beige sweater, a burgundy jacket, and my new earrings as the centerpiece. The result was just what I wanted: an accessory that elevated my outfit without needing anything else. I felt comfortable, modern, and, above all, happy to be wearing a creation made with my own hands.💫
Making these pendants seemed complicated at first, but with patience and practice, I discovered that it's a technique that opens up endless possibilities for playing with shapes, colors, and textures. These earrings are just the beginning, because I already have new designs in mind with other stones and wire combinations. What I like most about everything I'm learning is that each piece I make becomes part of my style.💖
Por supuesto, lo que no podía faltar era el colgante. Ese pequeño detalle fue el que convirtió el diseño en unos verdaderos zarcillos de movimiento. Apenas terminé de armarlos, los sostuve en mi mano y los moví un poco: el brillo del alambre, el contraste del negro y la ligereza del colgante hicieron que me enamorara de ellos en el acto. No me resistí y, como suele pasarme con las piezas que me gustan mucho, me los puse de inmediato.💖
Elegí un look casual pero elegante: unos jeans oscuros, un suéter beige sencillo, un saquito vinotinto y mis nuevos zarcillos como protagonistas. El resultado fue justo lo que quería: un accesorio que elevó mi outfit sin necesidad de nada más. Me sentí cómoda, moderna y, sobre todo, feliz de llevar conmigo una creación hecha con mis propias manos.💫
Hacer estos colgantes parecía complicado al principio, pero con paciencia y práctica descubrí que es una técnica que abre un sinfín de posibilidades para jugar con formas, colores y texturas. Estos zarcillos son apenas el comienzo, porque ya tengo en mente nuevos diseños con otras piedras y combinaciones de alambre. Lo que más me gusta de todo esto que estoy aprendiendo es que cada pieza que hago se convierte en parte de mi estilo.💖
