@aussieninja
I constantly enjoy @deddywox's creations and this Pirate of Eight artwork is no exception. I have to say that I'm not loving a lot of the artwork in the Splinterlands Artwork contests lately... a lot of the artwork doesn't seem super Splinterlands specific, but @deddywox never misses!
Hi everyone!
So, ah, look at this freakin'...
I did it! I didn't manage to achieve 100% for the Chaos Legion Reward cards....
Source I had started with Commons and Rares first, and once that edition stopped, I realized the Epic and Legendary cards were too expensive for me and I couldn't buy my missing cards.
For Rebellion I started with Legendary cards first... with the assumption that I'd be able to, hopefully, afford to fill in any gaps in Commons and Rares if I wasn't fast enough. The biggest difference though, was that I hadn't invested in Chaos Legion when Chaos Legion was released... and found it incredibly hard to win battles for a year or two... so my ability to win Glint was, ah, not great.
Since investing in Rebellion and now Conclave Arcana I'm earning so much Glint... and crushed this goal of hitting 100%. I'm genuinely not sure when the Rebellion Reward edition finishes and Conclave Arcana Reward cards launch.
In other news, I totally caved and grabbed Kelan Gaines...
He's just too powerful in the current meta to ignore, especially when coupled with Lorkus or Arkane. The problem is that I ran out of vouchers a while ago, and I'm not earning many per season, so I had to swap DEC for Vouchers to get him.
The new problem I have is that I don't have enough vouchers or DEC for Tasoshi Drakamoto. Which is totally fine... I do think that Splinterlands Inc should be developing many cards that literally only the biggest whales can afford to suck up as many remaining vouchers (and DEC honestly) as possible. I just hope Tasoshi doesn't become a big part of the meta... I assume most players are in the same boat as me.
I haven't done the maths, but I think I might have enough for a base level Yaba's Pickle:
It's a super decent combo card with Weapons Training and will pair very nicely with Bren Palesworn.
Tasoshi Drakamoto costs about $313.95 USD (11,500 Vouchers (46 cards x 250 vouchers) at $0.0273 USD) whereas Yaba's Pickle costs $57.39 USD (150 DEC X 400 cards). I've got my 400 Midnight potions ready.
I had automatically just intended to go for the regular foil but I just noticed that the Gold Foil Arcane Fortune Draw says this:
"Fortune Draws each contain a guaranteed regular foil pickle and a chance at the day’s exclusive Gold Foil Arcane card."
So... that means you could get your 400 Regular Foil cards for 200 DEC, 200 Aura and 10 Vouchers each... costing 80,000 DEC ($76.58 USD) + 4000 Vouchers ($108 USD) + 200 Aura. The thing is... I nearly have 4,000 vouchers in the DEC/Voucher LP and I do currently have 35,160 Aura sitting unused.... I'd need 80,000 Aura by at least the 50th day after July 29th which I guess is like the 3rd week in September. This is doable, I think I'm generating about 3000 Aura a day.
The good thing about the Gold and Black Arcane cards is that you only need to win 1 to play it as a maxed card, so it really might come down to how much the whales are throwing into the Fortune Draws per day to see if there was a day I could throw 400 draws and have a good chance of winning... and if I didn't win then I'd still have a regular maxed version. (Or I could sell the Gold Arcane version and essentially get the Yaba's Pickle card for free).
One thing I haven't been able to figure out is the sales activity of the Gold and Black Arcane cards. Does anyone know if this data is available? It's hard to know if there is a market for these cards or not... which affects the whole value proposition of the whole exercise.
Does anyone know if sales activity of the Arcane cards is available anywhere?

I'm pretty happy with my performance overall, I'm winning just over 50% of my games, and I'm spending 7ish days in Champs III in both games so just racking up obscene amounts of Glint.
My play style is not exact. I don't spend much time thinking about optimized teams or really trying to fine-tune things, or honestly, really paying too much attention to the meta... so I tend to do relatively well during the chaos of new editions... and do less well once everyone figures out the best possible combinations... so I'm currently doing alright, but that'll soften over time.
If I had stayed in Diamond I instead of moving up to Champs III, I think my score of 3880 might have gotten me 200,000 Glint...
I would have earnt a lot less Glint per game, but considering I won 409K from winning 526 games, I can't imagine it would be more than 200K. I wonder if I'd win more games in Diamond I since I wouldn't be competing with the top players so much. It might be worth experimenting with if I could figure out how to actually stay in Diamond I.

I think this is the most amount of Glint I've won in a season...
I still had a ton of Glint left over from last season and so this raises an interesting question for me... what should I do with my Glint now?
My options I think are:
1.) Get Legendary and Epic cards for sale 2.) Try to be quick enough to get a title 3.) Save up for Conclave Arcana Reward cards 4.) Get gold foil Rebellion cards to try and max for myself, to sell or to burn for Glint
I think the demand for Rebellion Reward cards is really tricky to trust too much in. I've sold most of the cards I've put up for sale... but there are cards that I've been sitting on for weeks and weeks. So I'm not sure how much I trust the demand will continue... especially since it costs me DEC to unlock the cards, it's not risk free.
I'm not sure I'll ever be fast enough to get a title, given the end of season timezones tend not to work out for me.
Saving up for the Conclave Arcana Reward cards is appealing. I have no idea when that might be, and the price increases between Batch 1 and Batch 2 of the draws and chests is designed to prevent this kind of action, but I could either wear those costs, or just try to max out all the Batch 1 options between the draws and chests (which I normally can't do within a season).
I think it comes down to timing... if Conclave Arcana Reward cards are 6 or months away, it makes sense to try and max out the Rebellion Gold Foil cards, and if not, it makes sense to build up a cache ready for the next edition.
If anyone knows about the timing for Conclave Arcana Reward cards, please do let me know...

I've attached all my Rebellion cards, including duplications on the Mage Wagons ready for the conflicts, so I'm only trying to rent out pre-Rebellion cards, which are, are not popular:
I used to have 2,000+ DEC daily available in rentals... so making 500+ DEC per season is to be expected since I'm not putting up cards people want right now.

I think this will be my usual SPS collection amount per season going forward. I've peaked when it comes to SPS generation.
All LP payouts will stop on July 31st 2025 (technically the SPS DAO could decide to keep LP payouts going, but I assume they won't) so my Liquidity Rewards will drop to 0. I'll probably just throw SPS into the Staking Rewards instead.... but I'll wait until Liquidity Rewards drops to 0 just in case they don't. Here is my SPS generation history...

It is very nice to be in the middle of the meta with the cards that are actually successful in the meta. If players could stop being significantly better than me, that'd be great.
I hope you're having fun with the game. I have to admit it is super time-consuming to play manually every day... but I am enjoying trying to not be terrible.
