This very sweet rendition of Lady Amara by the very talented @yanes94 looks so majestic. The hair is incredible!
Hi everyone!
There is so much going on... The new conflicts card is great... I think my terrible plan is working... new reward cards are out... unbinding of Rebellion is halved... there's unbinding scrolls... and daily rewards.... and daily prizes. It's a lot and it's all exciting.
As I mentioned last season I don't super care about winning Black Foil, Gold Foil Arcane, or Black Foil Arcane Conclave Arcana Rewards Cards - especially since they're not going to be valid for conflicts (which is a great call - I would slide down the conflicts list so fast). I'll definitely be excited to win one, and will purchase 53 days of Fortune Passes (125 DEC which is $0.07 each) but the only real benefit to me is that I then wouldn't have to worry about leveling up that specific card. I don't think there would be much resale value of these cards, but I guess we'll see.
Since I have a ton of duplicates of the Rebellion Reward cards and have successfully unbound and sold a few Legendary and Epic duplicates, I've been waiting for the Unbind costs to go down...

You can see that's it's had an immediate affect on the market:
The cards selling for $5 were the ones unbound at half the rate. I think it's super unlikely that the cards going for $11-$13 are gonna sell. I still have no idea what the demand is like... I have some duplicates and some gold foil I'd like to sell... but I don't want to spend the DEC if I can't make it back, so I dunno. I really do wish there was a way to look at sale numbers for particular cards.
My terrible plan is working. There's 9 days to go and I'm sitting in 1st place in the Diamond leaderboard in Modern:
I don't expect to keep the top spot, but hopefully I'll stay in the Top 10, and get into the Top 10 in Wild too. We'll see how that goes.
I managed to get a maxed version of Calamity and a bonus gold foil, but I think this is where I'm going to start to come unstuck:

I got 12 cards (which were guaranteed) and because I'm 60th of the leaderboard I think it's extremely unlikely that I'll get any more than the guaranteed amount... which is fine, people spent a lot of money on their collections, but now that we're getting into Summoner/Archon territory, the numbers have jumped substantially so I'm only guaranteed 9 cards in the next (then 8 in the conflict after that?) which isn't enough to max them out...

I think they're going to be must-have cards for the Modern meta, so I'm going to have to figure something out.
I did have to repair my Mage Wagons for the first time, so that was exciting. I had enough resources for 29 Repair Kits, 39 broken wagons, but only had to repair 12 (since I got 12 Calamity cards) so had to repair them one by one (since I didn't want to repair all my wagons) but it was fun...

The price of the Wagon Kits on the secondary market keeps dropping, which is still not really what I would have guessed... hopefully the new Unbinding Scrolls start to soak up some of that extra Aura floating around. They only cost Aura:

I think these prices on the marketplace are wildly optimistic considering how much Aura is sloshing around, but good on them for giving it a go...

It is nice to have a resource that just costs Aura and nothing else. I think we'll see the true value of it in DEC from this...

I did my terrible plan. I just stopped playing when I hit 3660 in both game types so that I'd stay in Diamond... in the hope that I can hit the top 10 in both leaderboards the following season and score 400K extra Glint. It was also nice just to give the game a bit of a break... I've really been playing multiple times a day for years now.

Glint season rewards will show in the season they are claimed.

For my terrible plan, I earned myself 186K Glint, which is obviously a lot lower than the 570K I got last season, the 494K I got the season before, the 409K before that.... but... is closer to the 250Kish I was getting in all the seasons before those big bumps.

Excitingly I hit the 7M Glint savings mark, and now it's time to spend it...
Let's start with Batch 1 of Legendary for 700,000 Glint:

I used to use potions for Legendary and Epic draws... but now that it's 20 potions per boost, I think that's too exy for me... I only have 2000ish potions.
Nice to see some early duplicates:

I just realized... 700K Glint for Legendary Batch 1 is a 100% increase. I looked at Season 63 to see that I used to spend "10 Legendary Draws for 350,000 Glint with 10 Alchemy potions" so I guess this means it'll take everyone twice as long to max out the Conclave Arcana Reward set? Now I'm really glad I had this 7M Glint head start.
Legendary Batch 2 goes up to 105,000 Glint per draw (from 70,000):
Next is 25 Epic Draws for 375,000 Glint (no potions):

I don't know what any of these cards are, and it'll be months before I can use them, so I'll just say that I got 25 Epic cards with no gold foils.
Batch 2 for 1 Epic Draw 22,500 each from 15,000 in Batch 1.
Next is Batch 1 of 100 Rare Draws (1,500 each) for 150,000 Glint (no potions):
Wow... so no Gold Foil cards in that 100. I guess this makes sense as there's 1% chance... but definitely different to the ol Rebellion days.
Batch 2 Rare Draws cost 2,250 Glint each.
Next is Batch 1 of 400 Common Draws (300 each) for 120,000 Glint (no potions):
2 Gold Foil cards out of 400... less than I hoped, but I'll take it.
Batch 2 Common Draw cards cost 450 Glint each.
So, it didn't click for me until now... but you can only use the Unbinding Scrolls to unbind reward cards, there is no option for DEC:

I guess this means Reward cards are less of a DEC sink than an Aura sink now... but people without Aura will have to use DEC to buy the scrolls... so much of a muchness I guess.
If I was to unbind a Rebellion Common Reward card right now, it'll cost 50 DEC ($0.03):

which gets paid to Splinterlands Inc. To unbind a CA common card, it'll cost 1 Common Unbinding Scroll which costs 100 Aura to craft or 279.862 DEC ($0.17) in the market... that goes to a player.
It's pretty amazing that Splinterlands gives up this revenue stream to make Land more valuable. I definitely appreciate that.
I look forward to https://land.spl-stats.com/resource adding in the Unbinding Scrolls Aura value:

Next up is 30 Ultimate Chests for 300,000 Glint (no potions):
Ooops. In hindsight, I should actually spent potions on these. I think it's just one potion per Chest.

The blanks are 26 Fortune Entries, 13 Common Unbinding Scrolls and 1 Rare Unbinding Scroll. The first 3 cards are Rares and the rest are commons.
Batch 2 of the Ultimate Chests goes up to 15,000 Glint (from 10,000).
Next is Batch 1 of 150 Major Chests (2,500 each) for 375,000 Glint (using 150 Alchemy and 150 Legendary potions):

This one was a lot more exciting! 1 Legendary! 2 Epic! 36 Rare! 71 Fortune Entries, 23 Common Unbinding Scrolls, 1 Epic Unbinding Scroll & 4 Rare Unbinding Scrolls.
Next is Batch 1 of 300 Minor Chests (500 each) for 150,000 Glint (using 0 potions):

I did get a Gold Foil Common card, and a bunch of Rare cards, so happy with that.
So that's enough excitement for one day...

I spent 2,170,000 Glint all up today, which is clearly highly unsustainable. I think I'm probably only going to be able to purchase the full Batch 1 of Legendary Draws every second season - which is fine, makes them all the more valuable.
By winning and crafting unbinding scrolls, it does mean I can potentially sell duplicates for pure profit, and the gold foil cards are instantly unbound, so I'm curious if there's demand there.

I think the days of adding SPS to my stake pile are over. Between buying vouchers, the Conclave Arcana Mini Set (if it launches) and potentially swapping it for DEC to buy the Conflict Archons, I think my staked amount will stay static, especially since I don't super care about the Weekly Fortune Entries (which limits me to 20 a day because of my SPS staked amount). Unfortunately I think I'll only be earning 4K-7K SPS per season from now on...
