Creating 3d avatars is one of the main reasons I got into CG. I'm still learning but so far this one is coming out pretty good. I'm mostly done with the sculpting/modelling except for a few details like the teeth and toungue, (toungue might be a bit of a challenge actually) but mostly there. The texturing is pretty good but I'm not totally convinced on it.
I still have a long way to go though as now comes the technical parts. Retopo shouldn't be that bad as only the head really needs it. The rest I made through modeling instead of sculpting so I kept the topology pretty tight, maybe the ankles could use a touch up...
Then comes rigging. I'm pretty new to rigging so this will be a challenge. I'm confident I can do the body but the face is going to take some learning to accomplish.
Then I can animate it! That will be super fun. of course then I'll need to build sets and environments etc...
Anyway here's the model so far. I'm pretty happy with it aesthetically although the head may need a bit more love. We'll see.
