Hiking in search of altitude for more beautiful views.

--- >I love hikes that lead to places where you get views of beautiful landscapes and even more if it takes effort to get there. ---  --- I have always loved castles, old buildings, history, the imposing nature of a wall. They have an aura of mystery, they hold many anecdotes and secrets, or at least that's what I imagine. To think about who walked those paths, who walked those stones on the ground is something marvellous. ---  --- Places with so much to tell in their walls and that at the same time mix me with vegetation, trees and incredible views of the sea, makes me think or imagine the time of the pirates, of the invasions, of so many things... ---    --- I have always had a passion for ancient history, because it is so rich in detail and variety of events that walking uphill on a path that is so many years old makes me enjoy a hike that much more. A hike that can be challenging because of the altitude and the strength you have to put into your legs, with areas that are slippery and you have to watch your step. Areas that are so steep that you can get short of breath, where you have to take a break and then continue. I love these walks. I like them not only for the physical exercise, but also for the things I can discover, what my eyes can see and because it is a challenge to reach higher and higher and to feel the possibility of coming across a beautiful place full of magic. That's what happened on this hike. To look at those high walls, defying time, as I climb the marked path, is something so imposing and so majestic, while on the other side I look at the accompanying nature with flowers, trees starting to sprout and leaving some spaces for my mind to imagine pirates on the sea. ---     --- The or rather the castles of the city are surrounded by a natural environment that makes this path ideal for walks as well as for relaxing as physical exercise as the path climbs higher and higher and has steep curves to a new higher level, and where from time to time you can enjoy a space, a viewpoint to the sea. This nature surrounding these beautiful walls, creates a perfect space to enjoy a walk out of the ordinary and in many parts the path is properly signposted, announcing, like this sign, the proximity of a forest park and one of the things I like most about the city is the incredible amount of green spaces, it is an oasis for me. ---     --- As I walked up the hill I could see not only different formations of nature, species of bushes, trees, flowers, but also certain gaps in the hill that offered me many different views of different parts of the southern part of the city, the harbour, the sea and various historical buildings there. As I climbed higher and higher these landscapes changed, the higher I climbed, the more beautiful it became. It is a route that I have done only three times since I arrived in the city and I hope to do it many more times as it is always different and even more so if it is done at different times of the year, the environment changes. Now in spring it is beautiful. ---     --- The roads are making curves and I find myself with the crossing of tree branches that fall, the sun between the hours and lots of light. I loved the clear sky, very clean and the fresh air was noticeable as I climbed. Being at high altitude I love it too because the oxygen is cleaner than normal and I fill my lungs as much as I can. It's a beautiful feeling. ---     --- Arriving at the end of one of the trails and near the first viewpoint I stopped to admire the beauty in front of me on the horizon. The bright light, the nature, the intense blue sky pierced by the sun's rays, and the city cared for by this beautiful nature. It was an intense hike uphill, a very good exercise, but I was also accompanied by spectacular views that made my eyes and soul happy.
