>Summers can be very intense, especially on certain days, and that's when your blood pressure can drop. I have a home remedy for that.
---

---
As you know, when I lived in Argentina, I suffered a lot from low blood pressure. Summers were suffocating and there was a lack of air. Whether I drank a lot of fluids, a lot of water, or not, my blood pressure and that of my family would still drop.
>If I went to an enclosed space, I had to leave, sit down somewhere and lower my head, putting it between my knees so that my blood pressure would rise and I wouldn't faint. If I was at home, I would lie down on the bed or directly on the cold floor. There was no other option. That's how my summers were.

---
But there was, and still is, a well-known drink that athletes drink a lot, because with the heat and exercise, the body loses a lot of salts through sweat. I'm sure you all know it because it's called Gatorade. It was available in Argentina, but the problem was the cost and the amount I had to drink to feel well, because I didn't want to take medication for it. It wasn't a temporary condition, but a lifelong one.
>That's when my brother, one day, prepared a drink with easy-to-find ingredients that you can always have at home and are very inexpensive. Of course, I should point out that this should never be consumed by someone with high blood pressure.

For the demonstration, I prepared it yesterday afternoon. For this, you will need:
- A one-litre glass bottle. Fill it with water, preferably cold.
Lemon. You can use the lemon I am showing you, which is natural, or you can squeeze lemons.
- A small teaspoon of fine salt, as fine as possible.
- A small teaspoon of baking soda.
- large tablespoon of sugar.
- A funnel.

The preparation is as follows:
Place the funnel in the bottle containing the cold water, then add the teaspoon of salt, the teaspoon of baking soda and the tablespoon of sugar.
Close the bottle and shake it so that the ingredients mix well. When that is ready, add the lemon. The amount may vary depending on whether you squeeze the lemon yourself or use something like what I show you in the photographs. As this is a homemade recipe, what I use as a guideline is that, when you add the lemon, you try it little by little, close the bottle, shake it, and if it fizzes when you open it, then the amount of lemon is just right. I add about three or four squirts.

If you like, you can add ice to the drink. For me, it has been a great solution for replenishing salts in the summer.
---

---
My problem is that with the intense heat, I drink too much water and by eliminating it so quickly, I lose natural salts. That makes me feel weak and dizzy, my blood pressure drops, and this drink helps me recover quickly.
>I make it a lot for my mother, since people of a certain age, she is 72, don't realise when they are dehydrated and it is important for them to drink plenty of fluids.
---

---
I thought I'd share what I do in the summer, because it might help someone else and it's a very economical solution. But I repeat, people with high blood pressure should not drink this, it's dangerous.
I hope this is useful, thank you very much for reading today. Best regards, see you soon.
Amonet.
