It had been a while since I had done an epic or medieval design. I have always loved those kinds of designs, which have nothing to do with real life, but rather with a fantasy world. In this case, I imagined what an epic alien would be like, but one that lives on the moon. Much is said about the moon, including that it is actually a reflection of another place, and that there is life on its dark side. I don't know how much truth there is in all this, but I believe that anything is possible in this life, and since I can't go to the moon myself and say whether or not there are beings there, I am left with my imagination.
In that imagination, I see dragons living on the moon, some breathing fire and others crystals, some with warm colors and others with cool colors, but despite their differences, they live in harmony. The extraterrestrial beings who live on the moon come from a distant place and have settled there, making the moon their home. Each of these beings has an angelic version and a warrior version, and when they fight, they transform into dragons.
In my design, an alien dragon woman transforms, showing her face ready for battle. She fights to defend Earth, one of the few habitable planets, knowing that many of her companions live there, but without being discovered. She protects Earth from another species that uses humans and dominates their minds. Her purple eyes radiate the energy of good and the change that is to come.
# Design process
I created the design with seven copyright-free images distributed across twenty layers in Photoshop CS6, without using AI.
First, I wanted to generate the background, a view of the moon's surface, and for this I used two images, one of a lake with lotus flowers and another of mountains, which I arranged in four layers to then intersperse in the animation, with fusions of focal light, strong light, darker color, and soft light.
Then I took the image of the moon, selected it avoiding the background, copied and pasted it into the design, enhancing the light and contrast, made four layers of it, and distributed them in the design with strong light blending. Next, I worked on the image of the first dragon, the white dragon, placing it to one side of the design, after erasing almost the entire background, in two layers with darker and lighter color blends.
I took the image of the first woman, the one facing forward, made three layers of it with focal light, darker color, and lighter color blends, after deleting the background. On top of it, I placed the face of the second dragon, also deleting the background, and made three layers of it, two with focal light blending and one with a lighter color. I deleted half of the face from one of the layers of focal light, and then worked on intercalating it into the animation.
Finally, after deleting the background, I placed the image of the second woman on the left side of the design, in three layers with darker color, focal light, and normal blends, enhancing the light and contrast in the last layer.
The animation is done completely in After Effects, working on the opacity of each layer and adding lights in the form of clouds for better contrast.

Hacía tiempo que no realizaba un diseño épico o de la época medieval, ese tipo de diseños siempre me ha encantado, sin tener que ver en absoluto con la vida real, sino más bien con un mundo de fantasía. Y en este caso imaginé como sería un alien épico, pero al mismo tiempo viviendo en la luna. Mucho se dice de la luna, incluso que en realidad es reflejo de otra parte, otros que hay vida en su cara oculta. Que hay de realidad en todo esto no lo sé, pero creo que en esta vida todo es posible y como no puedo ir en persona a la luna y decir si hay o no seres allí, me queda mi imaginación.
En esa imaginación veo dragones viviendo en la luna, algunos lanzan fuego y otros cristales, unos tienen colores cálidos y otros colores fríos, pero a pesar de sus diferencias viven en armonía. Los seres extraterrestres que viven en la luna vienen de un lugar lejano y han llegado allí a instalarse, han tomado a la luna como su hogar. Cada uno de estos seres tiene una versión angelical y otra guerrera y cuando pelean se transforman en dragones.
En mi diseño una mujer alien dragón se transforma mostrando su rostro preparado para la lucha, lucha por defender la tierra, uno de los pocos planetas habitables, sabiendo que en ella hay muchos compañeros suyos viviendo allí, pero sin ser descubiertos. Protege la tierra de otra especie que utiliza a los humanos y les domina la mente. Sus ojos morados irradian la energía del bien y del cambio que está por venir.
# Proceso del diseño
El diseño lo realicé con siete imágenes sin derechos de autor distribuidas en veinte capas dentro del programa Photoshop CS6, sin utilizar IA.
Primero quería generar el fondo, una visión del suelo de la luna y para ello usé dos imágenes una de un lago con flores de loto y otra de montañas que dispuse en cuatro capas, para intercalar luego en la animación, con fusiones de luz focal, luz fuerte, color más oscuro y luz suave.
Luego tomé la imagen de la luna, la seleccioné evitando el fondo, copié y pegué en el diseño, realzando la luz y el contraste, hice cuatro capas de ella y las distribuí en el diseño con la fusión de luz fuerte. Seguidamente trabajé la imagen del primer dragón, el dragón blanco, lo coloqué a un lado del diseño, previamente borrando casi todo el fondo, en dos capas con fusiones de color más oscuro y color más claro.
Tomé la imagen de la primera mujer, la que se encuentra de frente, hice tres capas de ella con fusiones de luz focal, color más oscuro y color más claro, previamente borrando el fondo. Sobre ella coloqué el rostro del segundo dragón, también borrando el fondo y de él hice tres capas, dos con fusión de luz focal y una con color más claro. A una de las capas de luz focal le borré la mitad del rostro, para luego trabajar intercalando en la animación.
Finalmente, y borrando el fondo dispuse la imagen de la segunda mujer a la izquierda del diseño, en tres capas con fusiones de color más oscuro, luz focal y normal, realzando la luz y el contraste en esta última capa.
La animación está realizada completamente en After Effects, trabajando la opacidad de cada capa y agregando luces en forma de nubes para un mejor contraste.
