The universe is fractal, nature is fractal, and we are all fractal as part of it. Everything responds to patterns that repeat themselves over and over again. Flowers have patterns, and they are one of the things in which we can most clearly see fractals with the naked eye. Another example is snails with their spirals that turn over and over again. Nowadays, many designs are made with fractals, and mandalas, which are also fractals, are in fashion. But in principle, the beginning of everything is nature itself, and since we are part of it, it made me think about our fractals.
An example within human beings themselves could be neurons, which is what I based today's design on: interconnected neurons. Fractals are patterns that repeat themselves, and there are even patterns in our behaviour, in our thoughts, patterns from our ancestors that often determine us and most of which we are unaware of, patterns that repeat themselves in our lives, some of which are not good, but we do not know why they happen. But when we detect them, we can change them, just like habits. We are fractals, but we can design and create new ones, new ones where our lives are much better.
# Design process
The design is made with six copyright-free images and 19 layers in Photoshop CS6, without using AI.
With an image of the universe or patterns created in the background, I distributed it across three layers, changing their colour in image-adjustments-hue saturation, and I applied focal light blending to the top two layers. On top of these layers, I placed the colourful image of the fractals with the same blending mode as before, and on top of that, two layers of the first image of neurons. I flipped one of the images horizontally and applied the lightest colour blending mode to both.
Then I worked on the image of the woman, using only her face, which I arranged in three layers, after erasing the background, with focal light, darker colour and lighter colour blends. In the latter, I also erased the hair and highlighted the lighting. On top of that face, I placed pieces of another of the fractal images, which I arranged in three layers with strong light, focal light and darker colour blends.
From the other image of neurons, I selected the most prominent one, copied it and pasted it in four layers, placing one over one of the woman's eyes and the other three under the layers of the face. Finally, I selected one of the woman's eyes, copied and pasted it in three layers, and placed it over the neurons under the face with the focal light blend.
The animation is done completely in After Effects, working on the opacity of each layer and adding lights in the form of clouds for better contrast.

El universo es fractal, la naturaleza lo es y todos lo somos como parte de ella. Todo responde a patrones que se repiten una y otra vez, las flores tienen patrones y es una de las cosas en las que más claramente podemos ver a simple vista los fractales. Otro ejemplo son los caracoles con sus espirales que dan vuelta una y otra vez. Hoy en día se hacen muchos diseños con fractales y están de moda los mandalas, más fractales. Pero en principio, el principio de todo es la misma naturaleza y como nosotros somos parte de ella me hizo pensar en nuestros fractales.
Un ejemplo dentro del propio ser humano podrían ser las neuronas, en eso basé el diseño de hoy, en neuronas interconectadas. Los fractales son patrones que se repiten y hasta hay patrones en nuestras conductas, en nuestros pensamientos, patrones de antepasados que nos determinan muchas veces y la mayoría de ellos los desconocemos, patrones que en nuestra vida se repiten y algunos no son buenos, pero no sabemos porque suceden. Pero cuanto los detectamos podemos cambiarlos como los hábitos. Somos fractales, pero podemos diseñar y crear los nuevos, unos nuevos donde nuestra vida sea mucho mejor.
# Proceso del diseño
El diseño está realizado con seis imágenes libres de derechos de autor y en 19 capas dentro del programa Photoshop CS6, sin usar IA.
Con una imagen de universo o patrones cree en fondo, la distribuí en tres capas cambiando el color de las mismas en imagen-ajustes-tono saturación y las dos capas de arriba le coloqué la fusión de luz focal. Sobre estas capas puse la imagen colorida de los fractales con la misma fusión anterior y sobre ella dos capas de la primera imagen de neuronas, una de las imágenes la volteé horizontalmente y a ambas le puse la fusión de color más claro.
Luego trabajé la imagen de la mujer, de la cual usé sólo el rostro, que dispuse en tres capas, borrando previamente el fondo, con fusiones de luz focal, color más oscuro y color más claro. En esta última borré el cabello también y resalté la iluminación. Sobre ese rostro coloqué trozos de otra de las imágenes de fractales que dispuse en tres capas con fusiones de luz fuerte, luz focal y color más oscuro.
De la otra imagen de neuronas seleccioné la más notoria, la copié y pegué en cuatro capas, una la puse sobre un ojo de la mujer y las otras tres debajo de las capas del rostro. Finalmente seleccioné un ojo de la mujer, los copié y pegué en tres capas y los puse sobre las neuronas que están debajo del rostro con la fusión de luz focal.
La animación está realizada completamente en After Effects, trabajando la opacidad de cada capa y agregando luces en forma de nubes para un mejor contraste.
