Though we started at the same course, have become classmates and closed friends for two years, the path for each of us isn't always the same. My friend @blip-blop and @breepickledoodle decided to change theirs and pursue their desired course at another school. We should be on our 3rd year in college together back then, but since they have decided to transfer, we're only 6 people left in the group.

Currently, we have been reunited at a resort to celebrate Bree's birthday. We had a simple gathering and our kind of fun during the day. As usual, we have chosen Villarosa Resort as a meetup place since it is the most accessible and affordable place for all of us at the moment. We have ran out of funds already since we have spend a fortune just so we could efficiently and effectively work on our Capstone Project. Even so, we couldn't bear to cancel the gathering just because of financial concerns. We brought foods and other things needed to make it happen.

It's also high tide which lasted until the afternoon. That was another reason that brought us together on that day, Bree wanted to swim in the sea water and the boys want to play on the sand.

As we came to the place, it was already crowded early in the morning. Gladly, there's still a cottage available that is cheaper. We only needed a spot to place all our things and eat lunch. It really doesn't matter if the hut is small and not as fancy as the other cottages.

It's gonna be seven of us coming here today *(I brought the Patata with me)*, but since we came early, the two of us waited for them in the cottage. While waiting, an Ice Cream on wheels stopped in front of our cottage. My sweet tooth craved instantly upon seeing the cart. So, I asked the Patata to buy for us. It has been a while since I had one like this, aside from the ones I could buy at the store, of course.
A cone costs Php 25, but it's worth it. Actually, it's not enough to satisfy my taste buds. I was just holding back because I'm controlling my blood sugar. Diabetes runs in family, so it's better to be careful. Anyway, ice cream on wheels or the one we call **"sorbetes"** is still the best for me. The taste is far better than the ones on packages. Every bite reminds me of my childhood on how we used to cry to our parents to buy this when we hear the bell calling.

After a while, Fria came, then the couple —Christian and Bree. They brought a raw milkfish with ingredients, soy sauce, vinegar, chicken lechon, two chiffon cakes and spaghetti with them. The other friend brought rice, the other bought Oysters. I helped with the cutting of the ingredients. However, I'm not a girl in the kitchen, so I really don't know how to appropriately cut the other ingredients for how it's cook. Fria took over and all I could help right after was moral support.
We decided to grill the Milkfish in a foil, but the grilling area was full. Our starving stomachs can't wait that long, so we improvised by dugging a hole in the sand and used big stones we found nearby to set up the pan and fire the charcoals. Fortunately, we brought a grilling pan, just in case.

Simple food but sumptuous meal to our stomachs. We couldn't move for a while after eating lunch because we're too full. It's a waste to have some leftovers. We tried our best to finish all of it. Yet, I think the boys can digest their food faster. After few minutes, they're already in their swimming trunks, then headed straight to the sea. They played on the sand until the girls joined the fun.

Me and the Patata didn't swim with them. We stayed instead at the cottage to guard all our things and foods from the dogs. I don't feel like swimming anyway because it's cold and I was having a clogged nose. I just watched them bury themselves in turns on the sand while eating an apple.
At 3:00 pm, the tides were lower and the couple have some errands to do at downtown. We started cleaning our table then, and packed our things. It was another happy moment with the group. We may become very busy with life but we wouldn't forget each other.
Anyways, that would be all for today's blog. Thanks a lot for all your support! 🌷🌻
