Hello, how are you all? I hope you are all well. Today I am going to share with you the method of making a bean neckband. I hope you like it. This is a neckband design that I made on my friend's suit. She sews for me, so she always gets clothes sewn by me. So this time she asked me to make her a bean neckband, so I thought I would share the method with you too.
First I did a simple cutting of the shirt.
Then I cut the throat. For the front throat, I took three inches wide and four inches deep. For the back throat, I took one inch deep and three inches wide.
Then I cut a four-inch piece of pasting paper, 10 inches long, and marked it with a distance of one and a half inches from the top. Now I will cut from above these marks. I will attach this pasting paper to the bottom of the bean for the button hook.
I cut along the marks I had made. After cutting, it looked something like this in a V-shape.
Then I glued the pasting paper onto some fabric. I glued it to the wrong side of the fabric. I placed the shirt on the right side, stitched it, and folded it over to the wrong side.
Then I folded it inside out and ironed it from above, making the fabric fit well.
Then I folded a strip under it and applied it. I will apply a touch button on top of it so that the throat becomes open.
After attaching the inner band, I stitched a stitch from the top so that the fabric would fit well and I also stitched the hem. Now I will prepare the ben for it.
I made the band five inches wide and sixteen inches long. Then I folded it and cut straight up to three inches.The remaining part I cut diagonally to shape the band.
I then pressed the band onto the fabric with an iron and trimmed the extra fabric

After adding the fitting to the shirt I will show you the complete shirt to show how it looks after stitching
