Without breaks and holidays, breakdown is inevitable.

When I look at the holiday calendar in my country, I often feel like it is not enough. The truth is, holidays are very important in people’s lives, yet the number we have in a year seems too few compared to the amount of stress and work that people go through every single day. Personally, I love holidays a lot because they are the only time when life feels slower, freer, and more enjoyable. They are moments where students can rest from schoolwork and adults can step away from the pressure of their jobs. Because of this, I strongly feel that there should be more holidays in my country.

The working hours in my country are very long and sometimes draining. Many people leave home early in the morning and return late at night just to make ends meet. For students too, the workload is heavy, with school assignments, tests, and examinations. All of these activities make life feel like a constant cycle of stress. Holidays break that cycle. They allow people to recharge their energy, spend time with their loved ones, and take care of themselves. This is why I personally look forward to every holiday, no matter how short it may be.

I believe that more holidays would improve people’s mental health. In today’s world, stress and pressure are everywhere, and without enough time to rest, people may become sick or even less productive in the long run. A holiday does not have to be an expensive vacation; sometimes, just staying at home to relax, sleep, or bond with family is enough to refresh the mind. When people rest well, they return to their jobs or schools stronger, happier, and ready to give their best. In this way, holidays are not just for enjoyment, they also increase productivity.

However, even though I love holidays and want more of them, I also understand that too much of it may affect the economy. If businesses are closed too often, the country may lose money because production stops and workers are not contributing to the system. Too many holidays can also slow down learning in schools and affect important industries like trade, manufacturing, and services. So, while holidays are good, having too many can become a problem for the nation.

The best solution, in my opinion, is balance. We should have enough holidays that allow people to rest and refresh, but not so many that it weakens the economy. For example, adding one or two extra holidays in the year will not harm the economy greatly, but it will mean so much to people who are tired from the daily stress of work and school. It is not about stopping work completely but about making sure people have the right amount of rest.

In conclusion, I love holidays and I definitely want more of them in my country. They are essential for rest, happiness, and productivity. Still, I believe that it should not be too much, because too many holidays may affect the economy negatively. Life is not just about working endlessly; it is also about resting, enjoying moments, and taking care of one’s health. A country that balances both work and holidays will be better for everyone.
